Responsibilities
Write and edit documentation for a wide range of franchise business audiences including manuals, procedures, policies, user guides, training materials, and other documentation for a variety of uses.
Write, rewrite, and/or edit documentation, communication, and reference materials for a variety of projects and purposes.
Work with subject matter experts and team members to ensure that written product communicates information in a clear, appropriate, and applicable manner.
Analyze feedback provided by clients and determine how to best integrate that with our existing bank of content to meet client needs.
Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding.
Provide a high degree of quality assurance by reading documents objectively and closely for structure, coherence, logic, tone, and style and ensure end products meet client expectations.
Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers.
Organize, plan, and prioritize work utilizing project management and communication tools.
Requirements

Must possess solid organizational and detail-oriented expertise and the ability to handle numerous projects at one time

· Assembly of concrete forms, laborers are required to lift form prefabricated metal form panels and assist in their placement.
· Handle the concrete bucket suspended from a crane that transfers the concrete from the concrete truck to the placement area. After the concrete is poured from the bucket, laborers muck the concrete in slabs to spread it evenly.
· After the concrete has cured, the laborers assist in stripping the concrete forms and transporting them for storage.
· Assist concrete finishers in moving power trowels and power screeds used to finish the concrete surface.
· Support of block masons installing masonry work by handling and transporting bags of cement, lime, sand, and grout. This includes stocking blocks and bricks.
· Assist carpenters in handling and setting door frames. This entails transporting the door frames from the storage area to the work areas and stacking the door frames where needed.
· Loads, unloads, and identifies building materials, machinery, and tools. Distributes site materials to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. Responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly distributed, and the site is swept and well maintained.
· Promotes a safe work environment and communicates jobsite hazards. This includes helping to secure the jobsite at the end of business each day and verifying that all site materials are properly stored.

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Associate/Principal Engineer, Hydrogeologist, Scientist in a related field to join our successful team of remediation professionals in our Environmental Services Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects and pursuits in the Sediments market and lead of dedicated team of professionals towards profitable growth within the remediation market and executing existing projects.
This individual will serve as the sediment practice lead for the Remediation group to provide leadership around sediment remediation projects and design expertise to guide a variety of projects through site investigation, remedy evaluation and selection, design, construction, and restoration. This role will also lead national business development campaigns to grow Burns & McDonnell's sediment portfolio and lead critical pursuit efforts.
+ Prepare and implement strategic plans to capture existing project leads, convert design projects to construction opportunities, and expand sales in the Sediment Remediation market.
+ Lead teams to develop and implement pre-design investigations, feasibility studies, treatability studies, conceptual site model development, remedial design and remedial action implementation.
+ Manage/direct staff in data collection, synthesis, analysis and interpretation using industry standard procedures.
+ Manage large/complex sediment investigation and remediation projects. When operating in this role, be responsible for the financial success of the project including preparation of cost proposals and qualification statements and achieving stated targets and standards for financial performance.
+ Provide leadership, instruction, and advanced technical guidance to less experienced project staff. Support client communications surrounding sediment remediation on key accounts.
+ Present technical papers at professional meetings.
+ Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors in order to develop new business opportunities.
+ Facilitate QA/QC process adherence on projects and proposals completed under their control.
+ Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related field from an accredited program and 7 years related consulting experience (15 years preferred).
+ Master Degree in a related field from an accredited program may substitute for one year of experience.
+ Proven track record of practice/business unit leadership with demonstrated sales and portfolio growth within the remediation market.
+ Expert knowledge of sediment fate and transport.
+ Expert knowledge of and experience with active sediment remediation including dredging, capping, and other industry standard methods.
+ Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including CERCLA, RCRA, Section 401 and Section 404 permitting.
+ Ability to establish effective working relationships with contractors, co-workers, and other professionals.
+ Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Expert oral and written communication skills; ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.

**The Opportunity**
This position is based in **Richmond, Virginia.**
Functions in a water process engineer role as a mid-level engineer in water treatment. Possesses knowledge of conventional water treatment and is familiar with some of the processes such as coagulation, clarification, softening, media filtration, and advanced water treatment processes, such as membrane filtration (microfiltration/ultrafiltration), reverse osmosis (brackish, seawater), UV/AOP, ozonation, carbon adsorption, and/or distribution system water quality. Any experience in water reuse, brackish and seawater desalination is desirable. Bench-scale and pilot experience is also desirable.
Under supervision and guidance from senior process experts, applies advanced water treatment and engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches to complex engineering problems for a wide range of water quality and treatment challenges.. Will expand knowledge over time in other areas and will interact with multi-disciplinary design teams to implement complex treatment solutions. Assists in developing, validating, and presenting specialist/technical output to clients and key stakeholders.Assists in business development activities and external marketing opportunities such as presenting at local/national conferences, building/maintaining client relationships, and supporting new business pursuits and proposal development.

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will assist project managers on a variety of projects of varying complexity, and/or will manage some smaller and less complex projects on their own. Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or related degree from accredited program and 4 years of applicable experience is required.
