JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Application Architect is responsible for ensuring that applications are tailored to the needs of the team, perform efficiently, and integrate seamlessly with other applications. PAY RANGE: $160k to $170k annually depending upon experience.
This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.

Position Summary
The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing solutions utilizing expert knowledge in PowerBI and SQL Azure. This resource will have experience building and running a team of report developers to deliver high quality solutions to the business. The Senior Reporting Architect will seek to understand complex requirements through strong business and technical consulting skills and is proficient in creating and implementing proven solutions that solve business challenges.

Role Responsibilities
Design and Implement Reporting Architecture:
Develop and maintain the overall reporting architecture strategy using Microsoft PowerBI, Azure SQL and Microsoft Fabric technologies.
Design data models, database schemas, and data warehouses to support business reporting needs.
Ensure data architecture aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Design, develop and maintain data platform solutions to support reporting and analytics
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of report developers and analysts.
Assign tasks, set goals, and ensure project milestones are met.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Collaboration and Communication:
Support RK by working with project and internal stakeholders (business analysts, developers, other architects), defining requirements, designing, and implementing standard or custom solutions and delivering engagements that are innovative and exceed business requirements.
Follow the team's methodology, processes, and standards to ensure the solution is of the highest quality while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team.
Meet with stakeholders to assist in determining needs and/or identify problem areas.
Develop complete technology solutions for current and future service offerings, collaborating with senior architects while considering all aspects of business and technical requirements, sizing, infrastructure, data protection, security, and recovery items.
Collaborate with other team members to develop and enhance deliverables.
Stay abreast of technology and industry changes, especially in the areas of Cloud and Data Analytics
Security and Compliance:
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., PII, GDPR, HIPAA).
Implement data privacy measures and access controls.

Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in custom developed reporting solutions, data architecture and data management.
At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
Technical Skills:
At least 5 years of experience with Power BI (Power Query, Data Management Gateway, SSAS Tabular Connector) is required.
5+ years' experience in industry working with data solutions related to data integration, data modeling, analytics, and reporting and/or Azure or AWS cloud solutions.
5+ years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server environment using SQL, T-SQL stored procedures, T-SQL functions or a Postgres environment using PostgresSQL and PL/pg SQL Coding Languages
5+ years' experience advising on, managing, and successfully delivering data solutions.
Experience in the following areas of PowerBI:
PowerBI services and both pro and premium licensing functionality
PowerBI paginated reports
PowerBI apps deployment model
PowerBI citizen developer programs
Knowledge of and experience with at least one of:
Azure Data Platform (Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Data Management Gateway, Azure Storage Options, Data Lake Analytics, Stream Analytics, EventHubs, Azure SQL)
On premise solutions (SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, .NET solutions, Active Directory)
Microsoft Fabric
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
