Project Overview:
Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities:
Leadership / Supervision (Discipline Supervision of superintendents supporting 50 to 100 craft or Responsible for Area/Facility)
* Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned. (Direct Hire)
* Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft. (Direct Hire)
Planning / Productivity
* Determines workforce requirements.
* Coordinates established area operational plans.
Tools, Materials & Equipment
* Oversees tool and equipment usage on the site.
* Manages the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the craft professionals have the tools they require to be productive.
Safety & Quality
* Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
* Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
Technical
* Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
* Manages engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation relating to field activities.
* Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy.
* Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisor's ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.
* Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
* Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
* Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.
* Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
* Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as required that may include but not limited to nightshift or split shift
Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).

**Position Description:**
The Area Superintendent (AS) is responsible for supervision of a specific area of the project. The AS is responsible for establishing and achieving the project goals related to all areas of field management including schedule, budget, safety, quality, and the development of personnel. The AS will typically be assigned field engineers to assist them in the oversight of safety compliance, craft supervision and production, trade partner coordination, scheduling, material handling, daily reports, quality control and craft training. This is a safety sensitive position.
**Position Qualifications:**
+ A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
+ Minimum of 5-6 years' experience on large commercial construction projects.
+ Valid Driver's License.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera and the AutoDesk Suite.
+ Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading and shop drawing reading.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ OSHA 10 Certification.
+ CPR & First Aid Certification.
**Essential Duties:**
+ Coordinate, supervise and mentor the company work force in their area.
+ Coordinate field construction work through organization and proper planning, and by having a collaborative relationship with trade partners. Participate in weekly schedule and management meetings with trade partners.
+ Promote and enforce the site-specific safety plan and sound safety principles within their area of work. Create AHAs/STAs with foremen for all self-performed work. Review AHAs for trade partners.
+ Participate in project scheduling and maintain the portion of the four-week schedule for their area to ensure the project is completed on time.
+ Keep accurate cost and production records.
+ Participate in the development of material handling and site utilization plans for their specific area. Coordinate with project engineers and office engineers on material needs, RFIs, etc. Ensure that material received is properly inspected for quantity and quality, and that the receiving tickets are properly signed and coded and given to the jobsite administrator.
+ Take responsibility for all quality control on the project and establish high-level standards both for the company and trade partners.
+ Coordinate the punch list process to ensure owner acceptance at project turnover.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with the owner, architect, engineer and trade partners to ensure the highest level of quality and customer service is delivered.
+ Participate in the project coordination meetings to maintain pre-planning engagement and scheduling in the coordination activities. Assist the BIM and VDC engineers in driving issue resolution to keep the submittal process on schedule.

**Position Description:**
The Project Superintendent (PS) is responsible for managing the construction process for the project. Project Overview:
The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S. Our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery next year. The candidate will act as the Area Superintendent (Siteworks) on the CCGT Project in Pecos, Texas.
The candidate may start in the home office in Reston, or on project site in Pecos, TX, to support preconstruction planning, ahead of project mobilization to the field when the candidate will locate on a long-term assignment to the project in Pecos, TX. This position is contingent upon project award.
Job Summary:
The Area Superintendent (Siteworks) is responsible for supervising and directing craft operations within assigned disciplines or areas. They will supervise and direct Craft activities, subordinate superintendents and others, as assigned. They will ensure assigned construction operations and subcontractors performance is in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budget. They will perform general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions. #LI-SP1
Major Responsibilities:
* Coordinate with various discipline Superintendents, General Foreman, and Foreman to determine equipment requirements
* Schedule work to be performed, supervise in-process activities, and review work when accomplished.
* Supervise and direct subordinate personnel and craft within various disciplines
* Prepare craft requisitions and forecasts, job manpower forecasts and expenditure forecast.
* Develop and work plans and activities
* Implement procedures to ensure construction operations are continuously adhering to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards, schedules and budget
* Responsible for the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned discipline operations
* Coordinate field activities with other disciplines
* Ensure that all State and Federal safety codes, requirements, and standards are being complied within assigned area of responsibility.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Minimum of 9 years' experience in field supervision on direct hire work. Demonstrated knowledge of construction engineering practices related to all disciplines.
* Demonstrated planning and scheduling, procurement, and contracting experience.
* Maintain, promote and cultivate a safe work ethic and work environment within the craft
* Able to work extended work schedules and night shift as required to support the project execution plans and schedules.
* Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H). Demonstrable commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.
* Extensive experience in construction of large projects.
* Sound understanding of performance management processes.
* Advanced understanding of production management including scheduling.
* Advanced communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
* Advanced knowledge of cost management including estimating and forecast development.
* Previous experience delivering a combined cycle power plant (Preferred).
* Has direct hire experience directing and managing large teams of direct hire craft professionals and field supervisor on a large construction project.
* 10+ years of construction experience in process plant and/or combined cycle power plant construction. Preference given to those with combined cycle experience.
* Be a champion of Bechtel's core processes and establish a zero-accident culture in that all accidents and incidents are preventable.
* Advance knowledge of the combined cycle initiative.
* Experience in establishing a high-performing team.

Position Description: Supervises the field construction of a single large or complex project or multiple projects, including organization, planning, and scheduling, in order to complete the work on time, within budget, and to quality specified.
Reports to: Project Manager or Project Executive
Essential Duties & Responsibilities*:
* Primary liaison with owners/architects/engineers for the day-to-day construction activities of the project.
* Participate in project pursuits, proposals and presentations. Main contributor insecuring the project during the competition phase.
* Lead, supervise and develop Superintendents and other staff, including providing input on or complete performance appraisals.
* Develop and implement overall project set-up and site logistics plan and identifying project-specific scope of work to implement the plan.
* Develop and implement overall project work schedules identifying the critical path including the expediting of scheduled critical materials and equipment for their timely delivery to site.
* Review and respond to subcontractor schedule impacts and or claims of productivity impacts.
* Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times.
* Develop and manage the overall site safety program as required and ensuring subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
* Manage and make decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade employee staffing levels.
* Document project field issues that impact budget, quality or schedule.
* Respond to subcontractor requests for field issues that impact budget, quality or schedule.
* Oversee work among all trades to promote a coordinated project operation. Resolve local area problems, regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, adequate labor and equipment, schedule and all other appropriate matters.
* Manage labor relations with subcontractors and Turner trade staff.
* Implement mock-ups and associated testing, review and approval.
* Ensure all necessary permits and insurance are in place and kept current for the term of the project. Act as liaison to inspection agencies.
* Perform in the capacity of Stormwater Compliance Coordinator (SCC) in accordance with Turner's Stormwater Compliance Program.
* Manage the General Conditions (GCs) and General Requirements (GRs) (back page) for the project to maintain the budget.
* Manage the billing process as it relates to Work-In-Place (WIP) and oversee the monthly estimate of work completed, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
* Manage the work to ensure that it is installed in compliance with and confirms to the approved contract documents.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related training and at least 15 years of building construction experience required, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Proficient in all aspects of building systems. Thorough knowledge and understanding of the general and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, construction means, methods and materials, understanding of line and grade and survey methods. Proficient knowledge of building codes and compliance. Proficient knowledge of construction cost control and accounting procedures. Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs. Proficient knowledge and use of scheduling software required. Ability to implement leading-edge technologies such as Building Information Models (BIM) and Lean to benefit the project. Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to communicate with both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of accounting and cost control procedures.
