Responsibilities
As a Dock Worker, you will load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner. Although DFL Dock Workers do not work inside a warehouse, you must maximize space when loading freight.
Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment
Properly document all freight control processes
Participate in Dayton Freight's training and improvement programs

How you'll contribute
Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU who excels in this role:
Plans, organizes, coordinates and evaluates services in the OPSU/PACU in accordance with the philosophy and
objective in the manuals.
Promotes high quality of patient care with no pattern of deviation.
Utilizes effective cost containment daily.
Demonstrates the ability to manage patient care in the OPSU and/or PACU with no pattern of deviation.
Assists the personnel in developing, implementing and updating nursing care of the ambulatory surgical patient as
needed.
Provides psycho-social support for the patient, family, staff daily.
Discusses operational concerns with CRNAs and Anesthesiologists as the need arise with no pattern of deviation.
Orders and maintains special supplies in accordance with need of OPSU/PACU.
Participates in PI Projects in the OPSU and PACU.
Reviews incident and accident reports with the director and institutes means of change as occurs.
Demonstrates the ability to perform rapid assessment differentiating between short and long term needs during the
peri anesthesia period for the patient of all ages without deviation.
Demonstrates the ability to document pertinent patient data, nursing interventions and patient response.
Documentation is accurate, timely, concise and legible without deviation.
Displays ability to educate self, teach patients/significant others, community and other members of the health care
team. Participates in preoperative assessments and education of patients

What we're looking for
Applicants should be graduates of an RN program and hold a current nurse's license in the state of Pennsylvania or a current multistate license (MSL) from compact member states/territories. Additional requirements include:
Associate's degree is required; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred
Experience in Medical/Surgical Nurse preferred, but not required
Critical Care Experience
ACLS Certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
PALS Certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position serves as a part-time/as-needed Residential Program Trainee in the Community Residential Rehabilitation Services (CRRS) Program. The CRRS is a residential setting in the community for consumers with chronic psychiatric disabilities. This position assists in developing individual service plans in a residential setting. Participate in the planning and implementation of educational and recreational activities in accordance with the individual's plan. Assist individuals to learn self-care skills through teaching and role-modeling skills based on their individual needs, which may include personal hygiene, nutrition, daily living skills, and safety practices. Assist individuals in developing skills towards living independently in the community, such as problem-solving, effective listening, conversational skills, interpersonal skills, good manners, and outcome action planning.
Recreational and in-home activities may include exercising, socialization activities, organized team-building activities, etc. This position provides direct care by assisting individuals with nutrition, cooking, shopping, laundry, housekeeping, and personal hygiene skills. Assist residents in community services, family interactions, telephone use, generic services, and public transportation. Assist and instruct residents with medication and money management. Participate in medication trainings and updates. May educate/assist individuals with scheduling medical appointments. Essential Functions:
Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information.
Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices.
Assists with the preparation of meal trays by placing condiments, silverware, food, beverages and special items on trays. Prepares room for dining by placing linens on the tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, utensils, menus, etc.
Serves food on trays and/or tables in an attractive manner and appetizing in appearance.
Responsible to wait on tables in a restaurant style manor using proper serving etiquette.
Responsible to assist in creating a positive restaurant style environment for our residents and guests.
Assists with the preparation of meals.
Delivers tray carts and nourishment's to the nursing areas/floors.
Responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitation of dishes, utensils, equipment and work areas by following established work procedures and standards of sanitation.

Qualifications:
Food service experience preferred.
Ability to understand and follow oral and printed instructions.
High degree of personal hygiene and cleanliness.

Ability to stand and walk throughout the course of an eight hour shift.
Must treat residents and the public with kindness and respect in a cheerful manner.
Ability to use the point of service system preferred.
Physical Requirements:Must be able to constantly work on their feet during an 8 hour shift; bend, stoop, twist, and turn constantly throughout the shift in performing regular duties. Assesses staffing needs for on coming shift and secures and/or cancels staff as census warrants. Schedules for personnel so that a minimal amount of overtime is required.
Assist staff in provision of patient care/handling emergency situations as necessary.
Communicates pertinent information regarding patient care throughout and at shift change.
Communicates with physicians and media representatives with tact and respect and forwards physician messages to staff as appropriate. Acts as a liaison between physicians and the health care team.
Communicates appropriate information to nursing staff and is supportive of changes in policy and practice.
Completes quality concern reports and documents investigation efforts.
Investigates and resolves complaints of patients, visitors and physicians through personal action or referral toa higher authority.
Informs appropriate manager of any staffing, supply, or equipment needs not able to be met through routine procedures.
Completes appropriate records for patient activities, end-of-shift reporting and assures that census records are kept updated.

What we're looking for
Applicants should be graduates of an RN program and hold a current nurse's license in the state of Pennsylvania or a current multistate license (MSL) from compact member states/territories. Additional requirements include:
Associate's degree is required; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and/or Health Care Administration preferred
One to three years' experience in supervision desirable.
Three to five years' experience in nursing practice
BLS
ACLS within 6 months of hire required
Basic Trauma Nurse Course (BTNC) or equivalent training (ATCN, TCRN, TNCC) obtained within 1 year of hire is required.
