The youth will be under the age of 21 who has Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) to prevent an inpatient or out of home stay. Respite services may include general supervision of the child, meal preparation and hands-on assistance with personal care. Different activities include, supporting the child in the home or in the community while providing respite activities to support the youth. The Respite Care Specialist will complete a progress note for each interaction and work no more than 24 hours per week. Work hours are primarily evenings and weekends when youth are not in school. Under the administrative/clinical supervision of the Foster Care Supervisor/ Field Instructor, The Foster Care Services Intern provides services to clients, their families, and significant others. Alongside our clinicians and staff, you will not only assist in the providing of individual interventions for clients, but you will also work closely with a client's family and their significant others as needed, including: community organizations, schools, other health and social service professionals, the justice system, and other agencies involved with the client.
INTERN EXPERIENCE DETAILS:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree required. Must be, at a minimum, a current second year Master's student in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
Licensure: Valid Ohio Trainee license (Social Work Trainee, Counselor Trainee, Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee), or higher, required.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the administrative/clinical supervision of The Educational And Mental Health Alliance (TEAM) Supervisor/ Field Instructor, The Educational and Mental Health Alliance (TEAM) Intern provides psychotherapy, assessment consultation and prevention services to clients, their families, and significant others as needed. As a member of a treatment team, the TEAM Intern will provide services in both schools and in-homes as directed by a TEAM Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The Educational and Mental Health Alliance (TEAM) Interns provide the following services, including, but not limited to:
Individual and/or group counseling
School and family education

Alcohol and drug education and prevention
Group work
Crisis intervention

Other services necessary to the enrichment of the internship environment.
Formulate goal-oriented treatment plan with a step-oriented process to prevent recurrence of crisis and to stabilize the client.
Complete all required trainings and thoroughly maintain all necessary client records.
Maintain all required expectations as developed between the graduate program and the student's field instructor.
Provide client coverage during any school vacation period if needed for appropriate client care.
