This role will be based in our Denver or Knoxville facility. ****Key Responsibilities:**** ****Manufacturing Readiness Management:**** * Manage the creation and execution of manufacturing readiness plans, ensuring successful transitions from development to full-scale production. * Ensure that production timelines, quality standards, and cost targets are met, and proactively identify potential risks or challenges. ****Process & System Optimization:**** * Oversee the development and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality. * Work with engineering and operations teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to drive operational excellence. * Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions. ****Cross-Functional Collaboration:**** * Act as a key liaison between manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and other functional teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination for product launches and production ramp-ups. * Participate in project meetings to ensure alignment on timelines, resources, and deliverables. * Provide technical leadership and guidance on manufacturing capabilities and constraints. ****Compliance & Quality Assurance:**** * Ensure that all manufacturing operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality systems (e.g., ISO, GMP). * Work closely with the quality team to develop and implement quality control plans and procedures. ****Required Qualifications:**** * Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. * 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, including leadership roles in production readiness, process optimization, or new product introduction. * Proven track record of successful project management and cross-functional team leadership. * Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and lean manufacturing principles. ****Preferred Qualifications:**** * Excellent project management and organizational skills. * Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams. * Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, MS Project, etc.). We are seeking a Principal Engineer, Bearings & Seals Module Leader that will be responsible for the design and analysis of bearings, seals, and sumps in a gas turbine engine, including the structural stress analysis and thermal analysis.This role will be located at our Centennial, Colorado facility. Key Responsibilities: * Expertise in modeling bearings, seals, and sumps designs in industry leading analytical tools. Support finite element analysis and apply knowledge using ANSYS Workbench and associated tools. Includes performing static, dynamic vibration, shock, plasticity, interference, thermal, contact, and fatigue analysis. * Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of turbomachinery components and assemblies using sound engineering principles while meeting industry standards and program requirements. This includes evaluation of the effects of the overall system (manuevers, dynamic modes, limit load cases, etc) on components and assemblies. * Lead engine system or component test programs from a hardware design and overall system perspective. Conduct operational testing and develop test plans including instrumentation, data acquisition, signal processing. Provide presentations and recommendations based on test results. * Serve as the mechanical system design subject matter expert as part of a diverse system design team. Ensure products and sub-systems meet overall requirements from a design perspective. * Lead design reviews and coordinate with other disciplines in design, performance and secondary systems, stress and life, additive manufacturing, materials and system analysis * Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments * Participate in the research and development of technologies and methodologies associated with additive design. Advise on ways to improve product design through the exploitation of additive manufacturing. * Role will initially be an individual contributor comfortable working in a dynamic self-directed start-up environment. As the organization grows, this role will be responsible for scaling design capability to support additional projects which will likely include some future team leadership. Being able to grow leadership capabilities with the role will be critical. * Assure proper documentation of technical data generated consistent with engineering best practices * Use engineering judgment to balance complex and conflicting program requirements and propose solutions to optimize overall product performance * Work with suppliers to procure hardware and resolve producibility and quality issues Desired Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college * At least 15 years of experience in gas turbine component design * Strong understanding of design software tools (CAD, ANSYS, etc.) If this sounds like you, please submit an application with your resume. In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $160,000-$190,000 base salary.
