How you'll contribute
An Inpatient Therapist who excels in this role:
Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems
Displays active involvement in treatment planning process
Provides family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups
Actively communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources
Demonstrates proactive communication with those involved with the patient's treatment
Works well with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, utilization review and nursing staff members
Demonstrates active communication with team members
Effectively communicates to UR on treatment and LOS issues
Completes appropriate paperwork for clients in a timely, accurate and complete manner
Demonstrates appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
Acts as a member of team with crisis situation occurs, assisting others to ensure patient safety
Completes accurate assessments of patients utilizing clinical skills
Assists care coordination department as requested
Completes all documentation thoroughly, timely, and in accordance with hospital standards
Displays a thorough knowledge of confidentiality
Completes releases appropriately
Demonstrates knowledge of HIPAA regulations and abides by those standards
Demonstrates a working knowledge of all clinical regulations, including TJC, Medicaid, and state and federal laws
Displays active involvement in the discharge, transition, and after-care planning treatment processes
Other duties as assigned
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a Master's degree in social work or counseling. Additional requirements include:
Current unencumbered clinical license (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPC-A)
Previous experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients
CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days

Responsibilities

Monitor and adjust behavior plans throughout the treatment period in accordance with the child's progression.
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) as needed.
Participate in bi-weekly BCBA group meetings and monthly 1:1 meetings with the Clinical Integrity Officer (CIO) to discuss client progress or concerns.
Provide regular parent/caretaker training
Maintain knowledge of different programs and certifications through CEU events.
Assist with scheduling
Provide direct coverage as needed
Be present in the center during business hours
Assist with any clinical needs as they arise
Support kiddos and RBTs with a minimum of 28 impact weekly hours
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise RBTs who are working towards their BCBA certification
Conduct weekly competencies for newly hired RBTs and monthly competencies for RBTs who have been with the company longer than 1 month.
Review RBTs session notes for accuracy and provide detailed feedback to RBTs.
Provide initial corrective feedback to RBTs, when needed, as part of progressive disciplinary action procedures.
Proactively manage and develop RBT staff

Education and Experience

A Master's degree in special education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge of behavioral health and treatment philosophies and professional practices

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Clinic Director is a qualified professional who is responsible for the development, management, and training of the personnel and therapy practices for assigned ABA department clinic. Clinic Director implements services and manages employees within an assigned clinic to ensure the highest quality client care and the highest quality employee experience for the clinic. Clinic Director is responsible for overseeing daily client scheduling with ABA Scheduling Managing, client therapy services, professional development of employees, establishing strong parent and therapist relationships, client relationships, recruiting and education to ensure the growth and development of the department's client census and staff. This position reports directly to the Regional Director of ABA Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:

MAJOR FUNCTION OF THE POSITION
BCBA Functions
Provide mentoring, supervision, and support to clients via a minimum of once per week direct case management to identify areas of individual deficits and excesses, develop and implement individualized programs based on goals consistent with evidenced based ABA methodologies at the highest quality level. All programs should include timely implementation of goals and targets, probing and progression of lessons, collection of real time data and analysis, development and implementation of behavior intervention plans in accordance with best practices. Conduct clinic meetings as appropriate and ensure comprehensive dissemination of information to staff and families.
Ensure billable hours are completed in accordance with funding sources and designated amounts, oversee communication with families and funding sources to ensure program hours are attained (i.e. absences made up), provide consistent and reliable case management and collaboration with families and teachers.
Effectively carry caseload of a minimum of 120 billable hours per month with an increasing variety of ages, diagnosis, and funding source requirements while completing Clinic Lead BCBA-Level I responsibilities. Conduct initial and ongoing assessments under supervision and gaining mastery of a variety of protocols (i.e. ABBLS, VB-MAPP, BDI), develop and oversee implementation of evidence-based ABA programs consistent with program designs, conduct supervised Functional Behavior Assessments and Functional Analysis, develop, implement and provide ongoing modification and assessment of Positive Behavior Intervention Plans in accordance with best practices and ABA research.
Provides direct client services by administering discipline specific evaluations, writing evaluation reports, and setting up plans of cares with appropriate objectives.
May be required to travel between clinics.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented BCBA to join our growing Dallas/Forth Worth team!
Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 DOE
$10,000 Sign-on Bonus!
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
Direct Kyo client programs and manage staff implementation of ABA services.
Supervise Kyo's Behavior Therapists and Program Supervisors.
Serve as a Responsible Supervisor for BCBA Trainees.
Conduct observations and assessments in settings such as schools, homes, or communities, developing individualized treatment plans for clients.
Inform client of behavior plans and goals for client, monitor, track and report on client progress, communicating frequently with families, teachers and staff about client needs and progress.
Design and deliver training to parents, professionals and staff.
Assist with regional or company-wide clinical or operational projects while caseload is building.
Model program implementation for caregivers and staff.
Attend and facilitate client and staff meetings, as needed.
Make all reasonable attempts to ensure efficacious development of programs for our clients. This may include job related tasks and duties not listed above.
Meet and maintain all Kyo directed performance metrics.
Perform other duties as assigned, including direct therapy as needed.
MENTORING RESPONSIBILITIES
Kyo recognizes the critical role that effective mentorship plays in promoting staff retention and development. Within our mentorship model, BCBAs will:
Oversee Behavior Therapist mentorship group.
Deliver Quarterly Performance Review to mentees.
Act as the Responsible Supervisor for any BTs in your mentor group that are enrolled in BACB coursework, maintaining responsible supervision duties.
Provide individualized mentorship to mentees by responding to and coaching them through their duties.

REQUIREMENTS:
Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
MA degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Outstanding responsiveness and operational skills.
Ability and willingness to drive from client to client and to leadership and various business meetings.
Ability and willingness to occasionally work longer than 8 hours/day (only applies to full-time roles).
Reliable transportation, a valid state driver's license from state of residence and automobile insurance.
Flexibility to support clients between 3:00pm-7:00pm, Monday through Friday, based on client needs
Individuals in this role may not be employed by, provide services to, or hold any ownership interest in another organization that offers ABA therapy services to children during their employment with Kyo. This includes independent contracting or private practice work in the field of ABA with child clients. This restriction exists to maintain ethical standards, protect client confidentiality, and prevent conflicts of interest.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Have the ability to regularly walk, kneel, crawl, bend, crouch, stand up from the ground, and sit on the floor or in child-sized chairs for extended periods of time. Must also have the ability to lift and carry or otherwise move a pediatric population (up to 50 pounds). Occasionally may require running or otherwise moving quickly.
Exhibit manual dexterity to regularly use and enter data into a computer/tablet/phone.
Specific vision abilities/visual acuity required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Be able to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
Specific auditory abilities required include perceiving the nature of sounds at normal to below normal speaking levels with or without correction, ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discrimination in sound, spatial awareness of sounds and speech at a variety of volume levels, often in background noise.
Be able to speak in a manner easily understood and receive detailed information through oral communication.
If required by a Behavior Intervention Plan, must be willing and able to utilize safe & appropriate procedures, including quick body movements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a parent's / caregivers home, a school or community location or in a "center" office and clinical environment. Work may be stressful at times due to client behavior, or a busy office/center environment with patients, where interaction with others is constant and interruptive.

Responsibilities include:
• Oversee staff of therapists inclusive of training, counseling, coaching, mentoring, and leading them to become better at providing their critically important work.
• Interface with families and children supervising the implementation of assessment goals, behavior plans, and ongoing monitoring of progress within each child's program.
