    Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Helena - Crisis Facility Crisis Home Worker Position Overview: A paraprofessional person working on a therapeutic team involved in the operation of a transitional 24-hour crisis facility. Provides direct support in the crisis facility, assisting with monitoring, safety, de-escalation, basic care needs, and client engagement. Works as part of a multi-discipline team to ensure a therapeutic and trauma-responsive environment. Job Duties: Assists in matters relating to admission at the crisis facility including, but not limited to procurement of food, meal preparation, facility care and maintenance of the facility and grounds and supervision of the clients. Assists clients in problems relating to daily living activities as they are relevant to their circumstances (food, showering, laundry). Performs crisis intervention in connection with treatment team members. Assists in behavior and medication monitoring for clients. Must complete and pass medication training test within initial probation period. Assists with distributing prescribed medications. Maintains required paperwork for assigned clients in accordance with Many Rivers policy. Performs operation or facility tasks as needed (i.e. - laundry, dishes, vacuuming) for upkeep of facility. Coordinates on-site activities for clients as appropriate. Must have a valid MT Driver's License, personal vehicle, and current insurance. Travel is required and may transport clients. May work varied shifts including holidays. Minimum Qualifications: This knowledge is typically acquired through completion of high school or GED is required. Hourly Rate: $18.15 + DOE Shift Differential: Day shift $1.00 an hour. Evening and night shift $2.00 an hour. Weekend hours are Friday from 11:00 pm until 9:00 am on Monday, $2.00 an hour.     Adopt-A-Trailhead Montana (AATM) and Pull-Your-Share (PYS) are cooperative volunteer programs that help protect Montana's trails from the spread of noxious weeds. Noxious weeds at trailheads will lead to infested backcountry, city parks, and recreation areas which threatens Montana's tourism economy, wildlife habitat, and native plant communities. These programs aim to stop and control noxious weeds at the trailhead, educate the public about noxious weeds and provide ways they can act against spreading noxious weeds when recreating. AATM started in 2015, and since then there have been 74 kiosks installed with around 42 of those trailheads adopted. Volunteer groups work with state, city or federal agencies to adopt a trailhead or park and are responsible for hosting at least one weed pull per year. PYS was created by a Great Falls teacher and involves both classroom instruction and a field trip where teachers and students pull weeds at a site and learn about natural resource careers. This service member will maintain all current kiosks, recruit volunteer groups for new or existing trailheads without adoptees, conduct kiosk installs, run volunteer days at weed pull events, conduct classroom instruction, host school field trips, maintain social media and outreach for the program, work with other agencies and NGOs to strengthen the program, and assists other noxious weed programs at the department as needed. This position will be in the field and on the road about 40% of the time. The remaining 60% will be conducted in a typical office environment. Will only transfer to a higher level of care when the client is not appropriately served within the CCC or when the client will not agree to stay voluntarily at the CCC. * Maintains basic knowledge regarding insurance benefits and reimbursement and completes all client billing sheets in a timely manner to ensure reimbursements. * Assists with internal auditing by completing peer counselor chart audits as directed by the CCC Supervisor. Will also comply with any necessary corrections, in a timely manner, on his/her own charts if there are corrections warranted. * Coordinates with internal discharge coordinator and coordinates necessary referrals to ensure services are in place. Provides the paperwork in a timely manner for the discharge coordinator. Monitors the need for revisions in the stabilization plans and makes recommendations to the interdisciplinary team. Modifies stabilization plans to comply with changes in a client's situation or needs. * Monitors the need for revisions in a client's goal and works with other CCC counselors to modify goals and ensure the client can comply with care that is consistent with their current stage of change. Provides documentation and justification when a client goal is modified. Documentation will be timely, reflect professional practice and consistent with CCC policy. * Takes a lead role in debriefing crisis situations within the CCC when a stressful incident occurs with clients, employees, and or security. * Maintains competency in departmental policies and processes that are relevant to the performance of the counseling position. * Identifies and anticipates problems and safety issues and initiates appropriate action. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or client safety standards relevant to job performance * Takes responsibility for the identification of own professional growth and development needs; meets all system/departmental educational requirements. * Adheres to department and organizational policies addressing confidentiality, infection control, patient rights, mental health ethics, disaster protocols, and safety. * Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. * Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, open minded and adaptable to change Minimum Qualifications Education * Master's degree in counseling, social work, or an equivalent human services field may be considered. Experience * Prefer a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a clinical setting with the same or similar duties and expectations of this position. Certifications and Licenses * Must have a minimum of a provisional counseling license and the ability to obtain a regular license within 1 year of the date of hire. * If entering as a licensed person from another state, must be able to obtain a Montana license. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
