This position works under the support and direction of the Area/Regional VP, Operations and onsite Program Directors to enhance the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes of students through use of evidence-based interventions and in collaboration with the operations and educational staff from each campus within assigned area. ‖ Responsibilities Include: Delivering comprehensive training and continuous guidance to teachers and educational staff in designing impactful Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and quality of academic instruction and behavioral support services provided to students, ensuring exceptional outcomes. Supporting Spectrum staff by modeling, reinforcing, and enhancing instructional best practices to promote student growth aligned with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals. Implementing evidence-based interventions by applying scientifically proven behavioral and educational strategies, promoting positive outcomes in academic, social, emotional, and independent functioning. Providing crisis management intervention and support for students exhibiting aggressive or self-injurious behavior and developing strategies to reduce the need for 1:1 staffing. Collaborating closely with on-site education teams to collect and analyze data on student behavior, monitor student progress, and ensure appropriate intervention responsiveness and consistent progress toward goals. Conducting regular quality checks for each campus within assigned region at the student, staff, classroom, and site levels; making recommendations for improvement based on analysis of data. Supporting the development of on-site teams within assigned the area through delivery of training on behavioral assessment, intervention, positive behavior supports, data collection, crisis management, and other relevant topics. Providing guidance and supervision to staff members within assigned region pursuing BACB certification (RBT, BCaBA, BCBA), as agreed with the Program Director or VP of Behavior Services. Assisting in the development and implementation of improvement plans for assigned campuses to enhance student performance and staff effectiveness. Engaging in multi-disciplinary on-site and regional team meetings to discuss behavioral needs and contribute to the development of comprehensive support strategies. Monitoring and ensuring adherence of all campuses to Department of Education regulations and internal standards for educational and behavioral service is maintained within assigned area. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, progress, and compliance activities. Providing operational support to all schools in the assigned area, focusing on academic achievement, behavioral support, staff retention, and development. Performing additional duties or special projects as assigned to support organizational goals and student success. ‖ Qualifications Required: Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, special education or a closely related field of study. Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) credential. Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an education specialist or special education instruction credential preferred. Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid CA state driver's license. Well-versed in applied behavior analysis (ABA) including positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS), data-based decision making, and functional behavior analysis (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP). Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, effective teaching strategies, classroom management, personalized instruction and working with students. Highly skilled in working with individuals with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and/or other related disabilities. Prior experience and highly skilled in crisis management systems and intervention procedures. Prior experience and highly knowledgeable in working with students with individualized education plans (IEP's). Proven success in developing and implementing effective intervention plans for students with diverse needs. Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals. Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions. Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability. What you will be doing: Develop, implement, and monitor individualized ABA treatment plans. Train Behavior Technicians, family members, and caregivers on treatment plans and their implementation. Conduct regular supervision of patients within your caseload via in-person sessions or telehealth, as clinically recommended. Communicate program updates and changes to caregivers and the ABA team to ensure consistency in care. Provide one-on-one ABA therapy as needed, based on treatment plans. Act as a liaison between Behavior Technicians, caregivers, and other service providers. Complete six-month authorization reports and other required documentation. Monitor weekly patient progress and present updates during team meetings. Timely creation of reports, including progress reports, Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, and assessments with support from the Assistant Director. Attend patient IEP/placement meetings and ensure adherence to company policies regarding prescription fidelity. Maintain accurate administrative tracking documents and ensure compliance with federal HIPAA regulations. What you must have: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly to all stakeholders. Ability to observe, document, and assess patient behavior accurately. Capable of identifying and addressing potential safety concerns or behavioral issues proactively. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships. Tolerance for challenging behaviors, including aggressive and self-injurious actions, while maintaining a supportive and therapeutic environment. Proficiency in using technology for data entry and maintaining patient records. Commitment to delivering high-quality care and ensuring patient and caregiver satisfaction. Education & Experience Master's Degree in Psychology or a related field. Current BCBA certification through the BACB or LPA licensure through the Psychology Board. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field. Physical & Environmental Requirements Work in various environments, including homes, ABA therapy centers, and community or outdoor settings. Ability to lift, carry, and physically assist patients as needed. Must be able to assume a variety of physical postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, etc.) for extended periods. Willingness to physically intervene when necessary, per the Behavior Intervention Plan, when working with patients with challenging behavior.
