As the Area Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of students across multiple Spectrum School locations by providing tailored clinical and educational interventions designed to meet each learner's unique needs. This position works under the support and direction of the Area/Regional VP, Operations and onsite Program Directors to enhance the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes of students through use of evidence-based interventions and in collaboration with the operations and educational staff from each campus within assigned area.
‖ Responsibilities Include:
Delivering comprehensive training and continuous guidance to teachers and educational staff in designing impactful Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and quality of academic instruction and behavioral support services provided to students, ensuring exceptional outcomes.
Supporting Spectrum staff by modeling, reinforcing, and enhancing instructional best practices to promote student growth aligned with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
Implementing evidence-based interventions by applying scientifically proven behavioral and educational strategies, promoting positive outcomes in academic, social, emotional, and independent functioning.
Providing crisis management intervention and support for students exhibiting aggressive or self-injurious behavior and developing strategies to reduce the need for 1:1 staffing.
Collaborating closely with on-site education teams to collect and analyze data on student behavior, monitor student progress, and ensure appropriate intervention responsiveness and consistent progress toward goals.
Conducting regular quality checks for each campus within assigned region at the student, staff, classroom, and site levels; making recommendations for improvement based on analysis of data.
Supporting the development of on-site teams within assigned the area through delivery of training on behavioral assessment, intervention, positive behavior supports, data collection, crisis management, and other relevant topics.
Providing guidance and supervision to staff members within assigned region pursuing BACB certification (RBT, BCaBA, BCBA), as agreed with the Program Director or VP of Behavior Services.
Assisting in the development and implementation of improvement plans for assigned campuses to enhance student performance and staff effectiveness.
Engaging in multi-disciplinary on-site and regional team meetings to discuss behavioral needs and contribute to the development of comprehensive support strategies.
Monitoring and ensuring adherence of all campuses to Department of Education regulations and internal standards for educational and behavioral service is maintained within assigned area.
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, progress, and compliance activities.
Providing operational support to all schools in the assigned area, focusing on academic achievement, behavioral support, staff retention, and development.
Performing additional duties or special projects as assigned to support organizational goals and student success.
‖ Qualifications Required:
Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, special education or a closely related field of study.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) credential.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an education specialist or special education instruction credential preferred.
Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid CA state driver's license.
Well-versed in applied behavior analysis (ABA) including positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS), data-based decision making, and functional behavior analysis (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP).
Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, effective teaching strategies, classroom management, personalized instruction and working with students.
Highly skilled in working with individuals with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and/or other related disabilities.
Prior experience and highly skilled in crisis management systems and intervention procedures.
Prior experience and highly knowledgeable in working with students with individualized education plans (IEP's).
Proven success in developing and implementing effective intervention plans for students with diverse needs.
Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals.

Description

What You'll Do
The Field BCBA ensures clinical quality across client programs by providing direct, ongoing support to Clinical Supervisors. Here is what you can expect.
Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments.
Oversee Clinical Supervisors; Review client program design.
Assess children using VB-MAPP, Vineland, and Functional Behavior Assessment as needed.
Conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
Formulate a comprehensive Individual Behavior Plan for each child assessed and recommend comprehensive services.
Provide consultation and training for parents and community members.
Staff, train, coach, and facilitate treatment teams.
Collaborate with other treatment team members regarding patients' progress through interdisciplinary team meetings, record review, and informal discussions as appropriate.
Ensure that medical record documentation protocols are complied with.
Carry a caseload of 120 billable hours a month, including report review and report-writing.
Conduct 1:1 meetings with direct reports, and clinical meetings with families and staff.
Develop trainings for a team of Clinical Supervisors.
Provide fair, constructive, and timely feedback toward performance and behavioral goals and expectations.
Provide assistance, guidance, and coaching support as needed.

Job type: full-time or part-time, hybrid SummaryThe BCBA position will be held by an individual who has the training, education, and/or experience necessary to serve as a Qualified Autism Service Professional. This position will provide clinical supervision as well as oversight of the programs being implemented by the Supervisor/BCaBA and Behavior Interventionists. The BCBA is an individual who meets all of the following criteria: Provides behavioral health treatment, Develops and Implements Treatment Plans with the oversight and guidance of the Clinical Director, and has training and experience in providing services for individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities, or other delays.
Essential Job Functions
To perform this job successfully, the BCBA must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:
Designing, developing, and implementing a wide range of ABA programs for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or delays.
Collaborating with families and other professionals to tailor ABA programs to each client's specific needs.
Directly delivering individual and group learning experiences to assist each client served in obtaining his/her treatment goals and objectives.
Meet with, train, and supervise mid-level supervisors /BCaBA and direct care staff (Behavior Interventionists) to provide guidance and review progress on goals, determine the effectiveness of intervention strategies, and consult about the overall implementation of the treatment plan.
Conduct assessments, write treatment goals, analyze data and write progress reports, under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Director.
Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments utilizing standardized assessment tools including the VB-MAPP, ABBLS-R, Vineland-III, etc., under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Director.
Develop and oversee the implementation of behavioral plans for children.
Assist in the development of adaptive skills for the individual to take a more positive role in the school, home & community setting.
Provide prescribed behavioral consultation to the family and/or school.
Supervise ABA programs to assist clients learn a variety of skills related to cooperation with daily routines and demands, coping with stress, play and social interactions, functional communication, attending to tasks, safety awareness, and self-help.
Empower parents, caregivers and other support staff to influence clients within their natural routines so they can be more successful, independent, and self-empowered.
Establish and maintain positive and supportive relationships with clients, all family members and any other staff persons supporting the client's individualized needs.
Define target behaviors and write treatment goals while coordinating evidence-based programs, reinforcement, antecedent management strategies, protocols, interventions, etc.
Model for and teach support staff how to implement intervention strategies and protocols.
Set up and maintain ABA session schedules for support staff and clients and manage planned and unplanned adjustments or cancelations.
Meet with families/caregivers in-clinic OR via telehealth on a weekly basis to review progress on goals, determine the effectiveness of intervention strategies, and consult about the overall implementation of the treatment plan.

About the Opportunity
As a Behavior Specialist at CSD, you'll play a key role in supporting children with autism. Using strategies backed by science (called Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA), you'll help kids build important life skills-like communication, social interaction, and daily routines-in their homes, at our centers, or in community settings.
You'll follow a personalized plan created by our clinical team and bring energy, compassion, and structure to each session. Whether you're playing games, guiding through tasks, or celebrating a small win, your support helps children grow in big ways.
This is a flexible, on-the-go role perfect for someone who's passionate about making a difference and thrives in dynamic environments. Training is provided, and you'll always have support from our experienced clinical leaders.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conducts 100% of scheduled sessions, unless time-off has been granted or the parents of the client have communicated to the clinical team that they would not like for the hours to be provided.
Primarily responsible for conducting subbing sessions for other clients to sustain the productivity margin if a session is cancelled by the family. Subbing sessions will fall on Saturdays and within the employee's availability.
Additional hours or sessions may be assigned by the Regional leadership within employee's availability.
Implements individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Intervention Plans in response to the direction provided by the Clinical Director and Senior Clinical Leader/Clinical Leader and/or other clinical staff in order to improve the behavior and skill acquisition of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Travels to Center, Home, and other community settings to deliver services.
Subbing sessions will primarily take place in the regional centers
Renders completed sessions daily and writes thorough notes
Communicates schedule changes and cancellations to clinical team immediately.
Participates in regular meetings and promptly communicates with Clinical Leaders/Clinical Directors via email and phone, regarding Treatment Plans and Behavioral Intervention Plans, family concerns and questions.
Fulfills the timely completion of necessary clinical documentation and communication of:
Daily Treatment Session Notes
Daily Treatment Target Data
Daily (If applicable) Behavior Data.
Keeps updated with other site-related documents and current clinical reports for each child served.
Remains current regarding new research, current trends and developments in special education and related fields.
Attends staff meetings, in-services, trainings, and other meetings as requested.

We are seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will conduct assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate function-based Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIPs). You will collaborate closely with each student's assigned therapist to align therapeutic goals, IEP behavioral objectives, and individual student goals. Additionally, you will complete initial incident and behavior emergency reports, submitting them to the Behavior Program Specialist within 24 hours of an incident. This position reports to the Educational Services Manager.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor the classroom Positive Behavior Training (PBT) management system (School-wide level system).
Train parents in effectively using the PBT within the home environment.
Collect and analyze behavioral and replacement skill data.
Conduct, develop, implement and evaluate function-based positive behavior intervention plan plans (PBIP) as necessary.
Create and facilitate behavior skills training sessions, focusing on IEP goal progress.
Regularly communicate with parents on each student's engagement with the school's behavior program, specifically when students incur consequences due to acute behavioral incidents during the school day.
Develop, monitor progress, and report on each student's behavioral IEP goals and benchmark measures.
Collaborate with the classroom therapist to align therapeutic goals, IEP behavioral goals, and the student's personal goals.
Develop, monitor, and report on each student's behavioral performance as each relates to the student's behavioral IEP goals.
Prepare written summary, update goals and participate in IEP meetings and parent /teacher conferences.
Co-facilitate, with the classroom teacher, weekly team meetings.
Attend and participate in staff meetings.
Co-facilitate three formal parent conferences per year with follow-up written summary; communicate progress via phone and email as necessary.
Attend bi-weekly group supervision and individual supervision meetings with Behavior Program Manager.
Complete initial incident report and submit in a timely fashion to Behavior Program Specialist within 24 hours after a behavior emergency.
Conduct daily check-ins with students and prepare daily PBT school-to-home communication.
Support students in weekly Therapy Activity Group and Art therapy sessions.
Provide direction to classroom assistants in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIP), data collection procedures, and utilization of PBT.
Under the guidance of the Behavior Program Manager, prepare and conduct weekly social skill lessons.
Be trained and execute procedures prescribed for behavior emergencies and/or escalating crises.

The Field BCBA ensures clinical quality across client programs by providing direct, ongoing support to Clinical Supervisors. Here is what you can expect.
Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments.
Oversee Clinical Supervisors; Review client program design.
Assess children using VB-MAPP, Vineland, and Functional Behavior Assessment as needed.

About the Opportunity
As a Behavior Specialist at CSD, you'll play a key role in supporting children with autism. Using strategies backed by science (called Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA), you'll help kids build important life skills-like communication, social interaction, and daily routines-in their homes, at our centers, or in community settings.
You'll follow a personalized plan created by our clinical team and bring energy, compassion, and structure to each session. Whether you're playing games, guiding through tasks, or celebrating a small win, your support helps children grow in big ways.
This is a flexible, on-the-go role perfect for someone who's passionate about making a difference and thrives in dynamic environments. Training is provided, and you'll always have support from our experienced clinical leaders.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conducts 100% of scheduled sessions, unless time-off has been granted or the parents of the client have communicated to the clinical team that they would not like for the hours to be provided.
Primarily responsible for conducting subbing sessions for other clients to sustain the productivity margin if a session is cancelled by the family. Subbing sessions will fall on Saturdays and within the employee's availability.
Additional hours or sessions may be assigned by the Regional leadership within employee's availability.
Implements individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Intervention Plans in response to the direction provided by the Clinical Director and Senior Clinical Leader/Clinical Leader and/or other clinical staff in order to improve the behavior and skill acquisition of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Travels to Center, Home, and other community settings to deliver services.
Subbing sessions will primarily take place in the regional centers
Renders completed sessions daily and writes thorough notes
Communicates schedule changes and cancellations to clinical team immediately.
Participates in regular meetings and promptly communicates with Clinical Leaders/Clinical Directors via email and phone, regarding Treatment Plans and Behavioral Intervention Plans, family concerns and questions.
Fulfills the timely completion of necessary clinical documentation and communication of:
Daily Treatment Session Notes
Daily Treatment Target Data
Daily (If applicable) Behavior Data.
Keeps updated with other site-related documents and current clinical reports for each child served.
Remains current regarding new research, current trends and developments in special education and related fields.
Attends staff meetings, in-services, trainings, and other meetings as requested.

You enjoy working with children and making a difference!
H.S. Diploma or GED
Flexible availability - high demand for time Monday through Thursday from 3-8 pm and Saturday
Complete new hire training conducted online and in person.
Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, and COVID - California mandated)
Reliable transportation required
Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally and economically diverse population.
Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.
Able to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures and regulations.
Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software.
Physical requirements may include but is not limited to:
Constant visual stimulation, including close vision, distance vision, reading, computer work
Constant sitting; frequent up and down out of chair
Constant use of telephone, speaking, listening
Constant document handling, use of copier and fax machine, filing
Frequent typing, use of computer
Occasional walking around building
Occasional bending, reaching, stooping, pulling
Occasional lifting, carrying, moving of items up to 20 pounds
Occasional walking to, bending to enter, sitting and using upper and lower limbs to drive car
Sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports and perform computer work (15%).
Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading of toys and materials used in home visits (10%).
