Responsibilities
• Models and trains staff in the principles and practice of Positive Behavior Support methodology.
• Serves as a member of Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs) providing expertise re: behavioral issues.
• Responsible for Behavior Plan assessment, design, training, monitoring, and reporting.
• Conducts descriptive and systematic (e.g., analogue) behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and provides behavior analytic interpretations of the results.

We work collaboratively across disciplines to offer neuro-affirming, patient-centered, and play-based therapy. We are seeking a BCBA to provide services both at our Palm Desert clinic and in-home within the Coachella Valley's surrounding cities. In this role, you will support individuals and families by delivering Applied Behavior Analysis services, conducting functional analyses and assessments, and developing effective skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies. This position combines both in-home and in-clinic service delivery.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Complete all aspects of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior support plans (BSP) for clients from birth to 18 (dependent upon BCBA's scope of practice)
Conduct assessments (e.g. VB-MAPP, AFLS, Vineland and other supplemental assessments based on the need of the client).
Go into the homes to conduct FBAs, complete progress monitoring, and to provide direct supervision to RBTs/BTs.
Develop individualized treatment plans (e.g., goals, objectives, and interventions)
Provide direct case supervision to BTs and monitor client progress towards goals.
Provide parent training based on the principles of ABA.
Provide training and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and BCBA candidates as outlined in the BCBA Supervision Contract
Ensure 85% fulfillment of authorized client hours for your assigned caseload
Minimize cancellations of scheduled sessions for your assigned caseload. Locate substitutes for therapist call out and/or provide direct therapy if a substitute BT is not available (e.g. Only within the funding sources with a 2-tier model or in the case you are the sole supervisor for a client within a 3-tier model and a substitute BT is unavailable)
Open to feedback from the ABA Director and Clinical Director to support your growth within the company
Must be willing to complete FBAs both in-person and via telehealth (if clinically appropriate)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Minimum of 2 years of experience providing Applied Behavior Analysis treatment to children with Autism
Strong administrative skills with a working knowledge of common scheduling and billing practices in the ABA field
Current knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continually learn about and explore new treatment practices that may benefit our clients
Must have a strong/ability desire to work with a wide array of patients (age, race, ethnicity, etc)
Able to be highly flexible and agile (we are living and working in a very dynamic time right now)

This position works under the support and direction of the Regional VP, Operations and onsite Program Directors to enhance the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes of students through use of evidence-based interventions and in collaboration with the operations and educational staff from each campus within assigned area.
‖ Responsibilities Include:
* Delivering comprehensive training and continuous guidance to teachers and educational staff in designing impactful Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
* Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and quality of academic instruction and behavioral support services provided to students, ensuring exceptional outcomes.
* Supporting Spectrum staff by modeling, reinforcing, and enhancing instructional best practices to promote student growth aligned with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
* Implementing evidence-based interventions by applying scientifically proven behavioral and educational strategies, promoting positive outcomes in academic, social, emotional, and independent functioning.
* Providing crisis management intervention and support for students exhibiting aggressive or self-injurious behavior and developing strategies to reduce the need for 1:1 staffing.
* Collaborating closely with on-site education teams to collect and analyze data on student behavior, monitor student progress, and ensure appropriate intervention responsiveness and consistent progress toward goals.
* Conducting regular quality checks for each campus within assigned region at the student, staff, classroom, and site levels; making recommendations for improvement based on analysis of data.
* Supporting the development of on-site teams within assigned the area through delivery of training on behavioral assessment, intervention, positive behavior supports, data collection, crisis management, and other relevant topics.
* Providing guidance and supervision to staff members within assigned region pursuing BACB certification (RBT, BCaBA, BCBA), as agreed with the Program Director or VP of Behavior Services.
* Assisting in the development and implementation of improvement plans for assigned campuses to enhance student performance and staff effectiveness.
* Engaging in multi-disciplinary on-site and regional team meetings to discuss behavioral needs and contribute to the development of comprehensive support strategies.
* Monitoring and ensuring adherence of all campuses to Department of Education regulations and internal standards for educational and behavioral service is maintained within assigned area.

‖ Qualifications Required:
* Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, special education or a closely related field of study.
* Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a board-certified behavioranalyst (BCBA) credential.

* Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid CA state driver's license.

The BCBA, is responsible for planning, developing, and monitoring a broad variety of behavioral support interventions while supervising the delivery of services for staff at the assigned program location. The program participants may be impacted by an intellectual disability and/or comorbid diagnosis that results in behavioral challenges. As part of a multidisciplinary team, reporting to the BCBA Clinical Supervisor, the BCBA helps to manage and provide ABA interventions with treatment toward addressing the reduction and elimination of these identified, interfering behaviors. The BCBA is responsible for maintaining compliance and program reporting across a myriad of forms that includes completing the written documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports. Consistent and professional communication with funding sources is a prioritized responsibility and additional duties may be delegated or assigned by the BCBA Clinical Supervisor at any time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Use appropriate and empirically validated assessment protocols as approved by the Clinical Program Director for the development of behavioral treatment planning while exercising professional judgment and knowledge to make necessary modifications as program(s) are delivered to participant(s).
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
Establish and maintain data measurement systems with supervisees to ensure data collection and analyses for documentation, Compliance, and reporting purposes.
Develop and complete the oversight for Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and other evaluations that include an individual's program assessment and implementation while reporting on the program effectiveness and progress of behavioral plans along with curriculum modifications occurring on a regular and consistent basis.
Ensure that all treatment plans conform to meet or exceed the contract requirements for our funding source(s).
Maintain continuity of care with treatment and standards of care with the delivery of services for our program participants.
Consult with team members about behavior plans, curriculum modifications, accommodations, and social skills.
Provide supervised staff with the necessary resources and tools to effectively deliver ABA training while providing modeling opportunities for supervisees to apply and utilize principles of behavior reflected by ABA.
Create and deliver a culture of learning while promoting an ABA learning environment.
Provide access to staff development through meaningful training opportunities with modeling opportunities to support the behavior needs, adaptive skills, social skills, and/or communication skills for our participants.
Conduct in-service training with meaningful learning opportunities with effective workshops and consistent, regularly scheduled trainings to improve the skills of supervisees with current and relevant information to develop staff members.
Provide consultation pertaining to crisis interventions and provide leadership for others with critical incident reporting and training as circumstances arise across daily activities.
Assist in overseeing and providing consultation to staff regarding programming and behavior plan implementation.
Attend team meetings as necessary and requested.
Act as an active training member for direct case management staff. This includes on-site staff training, orientation training, and staff meetings.
Ensure that supervised staff demonstrates proficiency with the implementation of behavior plans as necessary for each consumer.
Models effective communication and interpersonal skills with staff, consumers, families, and funding sources.
Models safety by implementing and monitoring de-escalation strategies to support program participants.
Ensures behavior support plans and support services provided are accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with Individual Plans, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Maintained certification with the BACB with current and relevant continuing education.

Leads and/or attends staff meetings. Prepares and provides specialized training and instructional materials including staff development training, as assigned by Regional Clinical Director.
Ensures associate responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities are clearly defined and understood. Manages and evaluates the performance and productivity of associates in assigned region. Provides training and onboarding for new associates; ongoing training to assigned Program Managers and Behavior Interventionists; and specialized training to associates preparing for various certifications.
Works with Regional Clinical Director and Human Resources in the recruitment/selection process of new program associates. Oversees associates involved in the recruitment/selection process as needed.
Attends conferences and trainings to remain current regarding new research, current trends and developments in autism, special education and related fields.
Functions as liaison between the organization, families, and other community agencies including regional centers, school programs, therapists, and health care providers assisting with questions and concerns as they arise. Travels as required.

EDUCATION:
Master's degree in ABA or related field.|Must possess and maintain a Board Certified BehaviorAnalyst (BCBA) certification.|Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.
EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting.

Expert knowledge of scientifically-validated methodologies and behavioral analytic approaches found to benefit children with ASD; familiar with current related research findings.
