Job Description
Behavior Change Institute is a nationally recognized service agency that specializes in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for both children and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Behavior Technicians implement behavioral strategies one on one to improve socially significant behaviors and quality of life. This includes implementation of a treatment plan developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) addressing communication, challenging behavior, daily living, safety, and social skills. Direct services are provided in a variety of settings including private homes, schools, clinics, and community settings. We are currently seeking motivated professionals who share in our commitment to improving the wellbeing of others to join our clinical team!
Responsibilities
Communicate BCI's philosophy of positive behavioral practice, compassion and respect.
Follow all policies and protocols set forth in the BCI employee handbook.
Collect daily data as prescribed by your supervisor (BCBA).
Write daily session notes documenting the programs run, client's response to treatment, and barriers to progress. Implement the strategies in the child's behavior plan.
Update your supervisor about the child you are working with especially if there are any concerns.
Direct the child's caregivers and circle of support to your supervisor (BCBA) for any questions pertaining to the child's goals being addressed, progress being made, strategies to employ.
Keep professional boundaries with the child, family and circle of support.
All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Schedule (Part-time / 15+ hours per week)
Four consecutive weeks days (Monday-Thursday / Tuesday-Friday) from 3-7pm for at least 3 consecutive hours per day.
OR
Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 3-7pm & one weekend day (Saturday / Sunday) for at least 3 consecutive hours per day.
Pay Differential: RBTs are able to receive a $2.00 per hour pay differential for all direct therapy services offered after hours.
After-hours is defined as:
Before 8:00 AM
After 6:00 PM
Saturdays and Sundays
Requirements
Authorization to work in the United States
18+ years of age
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Pre-employment professional reference & criminal background check clearance
Reliable transportation
Complete CPR or BLS certification within 30 days of employment

Facilitate educational/activity groups as assigned or when indicated using approved materials. Recommend alternative activities based on patient functioning level and treatment plan.
Monitor vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure

Behavior Technician Job At Behavior Change Institute
Behavior Interventionists provide 1:1 behavior intervention to individuals diagnosed with Autism in clinic, home, school, and community-based settings. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Behavior Interventionists implement behavioral strategies to improve socially significant behaviors. Behavior treatment plans typically address functional communication, challenging behavior, daily living, vocational, and social skills. The Behavior Interventionist is responsible for monitoring goals outlined in the treatment plan by reporting progress to the BCBA supervisor through daily data collection and clinical documentation.
Essential Duties Include the Following:
● Communicate BCI's philosophy of positive behavioral practice, compassion, and respect.
● Follow all policies and protocols set forth in the BCI employee handbook.
● Collect daily data as prescribed by your supervisor (BCBA).
● Complete clinical documentation to communicate with team members and insurance funders about progress on goals and any barriers.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation
● Implement the strategies outlined in the child's behavior plan.
● Contact your supervisor with any questions, comments, or concerns.
● Timely communication with your supervisor about the child you are working with, especially if there are any concerns.
● Direct the child's caregivers and circle of support to your supervisor (BCBA) for any questions pertaining to the child's goals being addressed, progress being made, and strategies to employ.
