Multisystemic Therapy, an ecological, evidence based programs directed at youth and their families, uses the collaboration of community based resources such as caseworkers, probation/parole officers, and school professionals. Community-Based therapists and clinicians concentrate on empowering parents and improving their effectiveness by identifying strengths and developing natural support systems and removing barriers.
As a Therapist on our team, you will be responsible for providing in-home assessment, treatment, case management, crisis intervention and advocacy to adolescents and families. You will also be responsible for maintaining fidelity to the MST model and coordinating with all members of the treatment team to achieve targeted outcomes.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The starting salary for a Cuyahoga County MST Therapist is between $58,220-$64,220 (includes base salary and on call/cell phone stipends) depending on degree and licensure. MST Therapists also receive a first year $2,000 sign on bonus , second year $4,000 as well as ability to earn an additional $3,000 plus per year in model adherence bonuses . Estimated at 8-10 cases per year.

RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
Provide MST or MST-PSB services to a small caseload of youth and families in community settings, including clients' homes, schools and neighborhoods.
Actively work to ensure client, victim and community safety through the development, implementation, monitoring and ongoing revision of a comprehensive individualized safety plan for each client/family served.
Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
Actively provide family therapy, parent training, cognitive behavioral therapy, skills building, school and other community system interventions, and clarification work to each client/family served.
Conduct MST assessment including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context.
Actively participate in weekly group supervision and weekly phone consultation; participate in individual supervision as directed/requested.
Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with MST Principles and the MST Analytic Process.

What You'll Do:
As a Behavior Technician, you'll play a meaningful role in implementing behavioral health and educational services using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with individuals diagnosed with autism, related mental health disorders and/or intellectual disabilities in either a 1:1, 1:2 or small group setting. We are actively looking for experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our WEST clinic team supporting children ages 1-6 diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). We are looking for dedicated applicants with reliable transporation who are able to competently deliver ABA services in our Middleburg Heights clinic.
To be considered, the candidate will have demonstrated experience implementing behavior plans and teaching skills to young children as an RBT. ABA therapy will be delivered to children in area daycares as well as in our east or west clinics. Weekly supervision by BCBA will occur in both settings. Responsibilities include: implementing interventions, collecting data, writing session notes, communicating with the team, and helping children gain communication, social, play and life skills. Must be reliable with reliable transporation.

How you'll contribute
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for conducting functional analyses of patient behavior, participating as a member of the treatment team, contributing to the Master Treatment Plan and implementing appropriate interventions from the plan. The Behavioral Health Technician conducts individual and group psycho-education, leisure activities and life- skill training and coaching for all patients. The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for safety monitoring of patients and of the unit.
A Behavioral Health Technician who excels in this role:
Assumes personal responsibility for maintaining professional development such as BLS and CPI.
Observes and monitors patient's status according to patient monitoring standards, policies and procedures. This may include completion of vital signs, weight log, intake and output, dietary intake, Q15 minute behavioral rounds sheets, admission checklists or other progress or milieu notes. Reports patient complaints or other concerns in a timely manner.
Provides verbal and written input to nursing staff via ongoing reporting and end of shift report so patient's needs and care can be prioritized.
Demonstrates proficiency and skill in providing care to patients; orienting to unit, transport; de-escalation; teaching of coping skills, conflict resolution, problem solving skills; assistance with activities of daily living; admission & discharge procedures, response to codes; use of CPI techniques and Life Coaching skills
Demonstrates effective on-going observations and evaluation of patient/family response to the interventions; reports changes in condition to the nurse assigned.

Job Purpose
The primary function of the Registered Behavior Technician is to provide behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Other Health Impairments and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges. The Registered Behavior Technician will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement behavior support plans for students that require consistent and behavioral support during the school day.
