BCBA Position Details:

BCBA Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop data-driven, individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) in alignment with student IEPs
Provide on-site and/or classroom-based coaching and training to school staff and behavior support personnel (e.g., Behavior Technicians, Paraeducators, Teachers)
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary IEP teams, including special education teachers, school psychologists, and related service providers
Supervise and support RBTs and Behavior Interventionists, ensuring fidelity of implementation and professional growth
Monitor student progress through data collection, analysis, and ongoing plan revisions as needed
Attend IEP meetings to present behavioral data, collaborate on goals, and recommend services
Provide crisis support and consult on classroom behavior management strategies
Support classroom teachers with implementing behavior strategies school-wide or within specialized settings (SDC, inclusion, etc.)
Facilitate and/or participate in behavior review meetings and parent consultations as needed
Ensure compliance with state and federal education guidelines, documentation standards, and ethical practices as outlined by the BACB
BCBA Requirements:
Current BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
Previous school-based experience working with diverse student populations, including students with autism, emotional disturbance, and other developmental disabilities
Strong understanding of IDEA, FAPE, and IEP implementation in public school settings
Ability to travel between school sites within the district as needed
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Must meet all background and credentialing requirements as set by the district

Role description
Under the direction of a licensed physician, registered nurse, or clinical supervisor, the Psychiatric Technician performs professional therapeutic procedures in the care and treatment of severely and persistently mentally ill and emotionally disturbed patients.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
* Gives a basic level of general and psychiatric nursing care to mentally ill patients; works with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide an overall treatment program for the patient;
* Under supervision, may perform nursing procedures such as administering medications and treatments, including oral medications, injections, and enemas, taking and charting vital signs;
* Observes patients' condition and behavior; reports significant changes to supervisor or physician and documents care and/or treatments in nursing progress notes on patients; prepares patients and cares for them during treatment; gives first aid as needed;
* Helps to create a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and recognizes early symptoms/signs of escalation and at risk behavior; uses appropriate interventions including crisis intervention, verbal de-escalation, and alerting other team members;
* Implements therapeutic activities and documents patient participation; assists rehabilitation therapists in occupational and recreational therapies for patients;
* Motivates patients to develop independence in performing activities of daily living; assists patients with feeding, clothing, toileting, activities of daily living; ensure patients follow safe practices that protect patients and others from personal injury;
* Receives visitors and encourages their interest in the patients' wellbeing and treatment plan; escorts patients on the facility premises and to and from the community; orders supplies as needed; keeps records; participates in orientation and in-service training programs;

LICENSE: Possession of a valid Psychiatric Technicians license issued by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.

Position DescriptionThe Multilingual Learner Interventionist - Multilingual Learner Support works closely with teachers, school leaders, and the regional Multilingual Learner (ML) team to ensure that students identified as multilingual learners make measurable progress in their English language development and core academic skills. The Interventionist provides small group and one-on-one support in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while also reinforcing foundational literacy and math skills. This position is contingent on term-limited supplemental funding and will be reassessed annually.
The role reports to the Principal / Assistant Principal and the Regional Manager of Multilingual Learners.Essential Functions:
Instruction & Student Support
Deliver small group and one-on-one interventions targeting English language development, aligned to students' Individualized ML needs.
Provide both designated and integrated ELD instruction, using Rocketship-adopted curricula and strategies.
Support a language-rich environment through vocabulary development, structured conversations, and opportunities for student presentations.
Push-in, pull-out, or co-teach with general educators to ensure ML strategies are embedded in daily instruction.
Assessment & Data Use
Administer and/or support administration of ELPAC assessments for multilingual learners.
Conduct frequent progress monitoring in speaking, listening, reading, and writing; share results with teachers and families.
Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to analyze ELPAC and other assessment data; co-develop action plans that guide instruction and intervention.
Collaboration & Family Engagement
Partner with classroom teachers during planning cycles to ensure integrated ELD strategies are reflected in lesson plans.
Report student progress to families on a 6-8 week basis and partner with school teams to ensure multilingual learner voices are represented at community events and school meetings.
Participate in professional development and actively contribute to grade-level and school-wide collaboration.
Qualifications:
Passion for working with multilingual learners and supporting their academic and language development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
Experience interpreting and using multiple sets of data to guide instruction.
At least one year of school-based experience with elementary-aged students preferred.
Fluency in English and Spanish required

Job Description
Under the direction of a licensed physician, registered nurse, or clinical supervisor, the Psychiatric Technician performs professional therapeutic procedures in the care and treatment of severely and persistently mentally ill and emotionally disturbed patients.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Gives a basic level of general and psychiatric nursing care to mentally ill patients; works with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide an overall treatment program for the patient;
Under supervision, may perform nursing procedures such as administering medications and treatments, including oral medications, injections, and enemas, taking and charting vital signs;
Observes patients' condition and behavior; reports significant changes to supervisor or physician and documents care and/or treatments in nursing progress notes on patients; prepares patients and cares for them during treatment; gives first aid as needed;
Helps to create a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and recognizes early symptoms/signs of escalation and at risk behavior; uses appropriate interventions including crisis intervention, verbal de-escalation, and alerting other team members;
Implements therapeutic activities and documents patient participation; assists rehabilitation therapists in occupational and recreational therapies for patients;
Motivates patients to develop independence in performing activities of daily living; assists patients with feeding, clothing, toileting, activities of daily living; ensure patients follow safe practices that protect patients and others from personal injury;

Persons with a mental health diagnosis may also have histories of abuse, neglect, substance abuse, and abandonment and be unable to manage in their current settings
QUALIFICATIONS:

Provide advice, guidance and support to individuals regarding personal issues and life choices
Act as an advocate for people served.

Assure that the human and civil rights of persons served are being respected at all times.
Communicate with day program services as necessary in a polite friendly manner.
Assist people to prepare or directly prepare meals and snacks as desired by the individual on a time schedule determined by the individual.
Document progress towards ISP/IPP goals, behaviors, medical conditions and any other pertinent information that needs to be shared between the Circle of Support.
Responsible to obtain required training and to assure that training is kept current to assure continued employment.
Attend training and conferences as requested to assure that Live Scan/DOJ, A Bright Future Inc. acts as leader in the field.
Attend all Regional Center audits as requested to assure that auditors
understand implementation of programs.
Adhere to Injury & Illness Prevention Program.
Assume responsibility for all other duties as assigned by The Regional Director.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have the ability to effectively implement First Aid/CPR
Must have the ability to work on multiple assignments at one time.
Must be capable of pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Under supervision of the Program Supervisor and/or Clinical Manager, implements in-home/community-based intervention in person and/or via teletherapy.
* Travels to home and other community settings, as required, to deliver services.
* Responsible for meeting established minimum productivity requirements, while providing efficient and effective service in all areas of performance.
* Completes necessary documentation within required timeframe, including behavioral data collection and graphing, treatment notes, and other company-related documents and current ABA or other treatment plans for each client.
* Remains current regarding new research, current trends and developments in ABA and related fields.
* Attends staff meetings, trainings, and other meetings as requested.
* Responsible to complete additional job duties as assigned by Supervisors/Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
* High School diploma or equivalent required
* Relevant experience preferred.
* RBT Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
* Communicate effectively verbally, hearing and in writing.
* Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion pertaining to the work environment.
* Appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations of ESNorcal; training provided.

* Knowledge of evidence-based methodologies found to benefit children with ASD preferred, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-Handicapped Children (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and Pivotal Response Training (PRT)
* Previous experience providing education, coaching and support to families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or related developmental disabilities a plus.
* American Sign Language or bi-lingual ability.
Physical Requirements:
* Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with clients.
* Stand or sit for extended periods of time, stand for up to 6-8 hours a day.
* Frequent speaking and listening (50%) to clients, staff, and other professionals in meetings and on the phone.
* Frequent driving (to and from office and client homes)
* Frequent sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports and work at the computer.
* Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials up to 30lbs used in home visits.
* Physically implement behavior management strategies including responding to physically aggressive behavior.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
* Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice. The People & Performance department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable federal, State and local laws as well as fitness for position.
* Must have valid California Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record.
* Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies.
* Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certificate.
* Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
* Ability to obtain RBT Certification within 90 days of hire and maintain active certification status.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI).
