The DCSC will provide individuals experiencing an SUD crisis with person-centered and a recovery-oriented alternative to unnecessary encounters at emergency departments or interactions with law enforcement. The DCSC will ensure those individuals seeking or referred for services will receive an integrated and comprehensive care to address their specific needs in a supportive clinical and recovery-oriented environment. CBI will hire pursuant to the DC EEO provisions.
Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team that provides direct care to behavioral health patients working under the medical direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The primary focus is direct patient care as directed and delegated by the RN, Operation Supervisor, Operations Administrator or Clinical Director. The BHT is also responsible for the safety of the unit they are assigned to, including identifying environmental and patient specific safety concerns, and elevating those concerns to the RN, RN Manager, Operations Supervisor, or designee, as needed.
Skills/Requirements:
Highschool diploma or GED required. Associate degree in counseling, psychology or a health care related field preferred.
Six (6) or more months of clinical health care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and/or medical crisis situations preferred.
Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.
Certified Medical Assistant certification (current and in good standing) is preferred.
Emergency Medical Technician certification is preferred.
Certified Nurse Assistant certification is preferred.
Valid identification required.

Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Mental Health Technician Trainee at the Murray Developmental Center located in Centralia, Illinois. Behavior technician job in Fredericksburg, VA
Seeking upbeat and experienced behavior techs or special education paraprofessionals to come onboard and work at one of our local schools. This position is working with in 1:1 as well as group settings. We have elementary, Middle and High school grade levels available. Must be comfortable working with kids who have behavioral issues. Must have experience and be comfortable de-escalating behaviors.

The BehaviorTechnician works to facilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs and collaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
