What is ABA?:
ABA is a type of therapy that uses observable and measurable methods to teach skills. We break down skills into small steps and teach them one by one. We work under the model that behavior is motivated by escape, access, attention, or self stimulation, and we track the consequence history to determine how we will reward the behaviors we are teaching with that motivation in mind so the child can get their need met. Each goal is written clearly and appears on a tablet and the therapist runs it and marks plus or minus in an app. A therapist may run 60 small goals a session. Our company works hand in hand with the client to ensure we aren't manipulating them, but instead supporting them in their growth. This is not a job where you kick your feet up and relaxexpect to be moving! It is fun, fast paced, you see change in students every day, and youll never be bored!
