In addition, this position:
Performs activities of daily living (ADLs) on a daily basis.
Provides patient care treatments including restraint monitoring, and collects patient data including vital signs, weights, intake & output.
Collects routine patient specimens such as urine, stool, and finger stick blood glucose as directed.
Respond to call lights and requests and assist nurses with procedures as requested.
Documents and charts care provided in the electronic health record.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Work schedule: FTE 0.70 Day/Evening shift and float between six mental health floors. The 8-hour shift may start at 7:00 am,11:00 am or 3:00 pm. The shift will include every other weekend and some holidays.

Mental Health Technicians help to provide a caring safe healing environment for our patients.
As a MHT, you will work with a collaborative care team providing patients with the best care and support. You will work with psychiatrists, physician assistants, occupational therapists, nurses, social workers and more. You will provide patient care to patients experiencing mental illness(es) and their families using de-escalation skills, group dynamics and facilitation. This includes assisting with crisis management, therapeutic programming and milieu management as a member of the Mental Health Care team. This role is instrumental in addressing emergent and urgent issues as needed.
In addition, this position:
Performs activities of daily living (ADLs) on a daily basis.
Provides patient care treatments including restraint monitoring, and collects patient data including vital signs, weights, intake & output.
Collects routine patient specimens such as urine, stool, and finger stick blood glucose as directed.
Respond to call lights and requests and assist nurses with procedures as requested.
Documents and charts care provided in the electronic health record.

Under the direction of the Title I Teacher and with guidance from the Instructional Coach, the Interventionist facilitates small group one on one instructions with K-5 children needing assistance learning to read or do math. The Interventionist is trained in research based reading and math strategies and using prescribed interventions. They are responsible for conducting weekly progress monitoring to ensure students are on track to read or do math at the associated grade level.
* Highly Qualified Status (Two year degree or higher, 60 college credits toward a degree, or a passing score on the MN approved ParaEducator exam.)
* Basic child development educational background or knowledge preferred
