Wellfound is hiring full time Mental Health Techs for our Night position. The position is a .9 FTE, 3x12 hour shifts per week with rotating weekends from 7 am - 7:30 pm. Must be able to work all days of the week. Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. Position information: The Mental Health Technician (MHT) functions as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary treatment team responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients and assist with the provision of basic patient care and recovery needs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The MHT provides and documents interventions in a variety of modalities individually matched to the needs of each patient. The MHT provides group as well as individual interaction with patients receiving inpatient psychiatric treatment in adherence with established treatment guidelines and agency policies and procedures. Completion of Preceptor Program preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of a behavior specialist or Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), perform skilled, confidential support and assistance to classroom teachers and staff for students who demonstrate challenging behaviors in order to help these students access their education in the least restrictive environment.
Preferred Education and Experience

Part II: Supervision and Controls over the Work:

SEL Programming
Design and deliver SEL programming aligned with Club values and youth development goals.
Facilitate activities and workshops that promote empathy, resilience, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships.
Support staff in integrating SEL practices into daily programming and routines.
Family & Community Partnership
Collaborate with families, staff, and external partners to develop individualized support plans for youth.
Partner with local schools, mental health providers, and community organizations to support holistic youth well-being.

Data, Reporting & Compliance
Document interventions, behavioral trends, and follow-up actions.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Demonstrated knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and behavior support techniques.

The UW Autism Center (UWAC) is currently hiring for Temporary, Hourly, Part-Time BehaviorTechnicians. Our BehaviorTechnicians are key members of the Autism Center and will provide direct intervention to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their homes as well as in clinic. Afternoon and evening availability (between 2 and 7PM) required along with reliable transportation.
The UW Autism Center (UWAC) is a nonprofit organization within the Institute on Human Development and Disability in UW Pediatrics and is devoted to supporting families affected by autism spectrum disorders through exceptional clinical services, innovative scientific research and high-quality training.
Position responsibilities include but not limited to:
PROVIDE INTERVENTION
* Provide direct 1:1 intervention to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their homes as well as in clinic.
* Implement intervention protocols developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to increase skills/reduce problem behaviors and using principles of applied behavior analysis. Tailor procedures to fit individual interests/needs.
* Provide responsible, positive, sensitive intervention and care during therapy and will work under close supervision of masters level clinical staff.
DEVELOP MATERIALS
* Create picture cards, books, etc. as needed for the therapy program.
* Produce motivation charts, token boards, visual schedules, play materials, etc.
MANAGING RECORDS AND ORGANIZING THERAPY SPACE
* Organize and maintain computer and paper records of therapy including collecting and accurately recording data in each therapy session, graphing data and completing treatment notes.
* Maintain home and clinic therapy spaces in an organized, clean, and child-proof manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND two years of appropriate experience OR equivalent education/experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in related field (psychology, education, human/child development).
* Training and experience in early intensive behavioral intervention for children with autism, early intervention for toddlers, developmental psychology, behavior analysis, special education, or related fields and experience working directly with children and families with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
* Ability and willingness to interact with children in a spontaneous and creative way.
* This position involves physical care which may require moving children between the ages of 12-48 months.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
