This position provides immediate response to Crisis Hotline callers using empathetic listening, risk assessment, safety planning, and education to provide appropriate client-centered interventions to address callers' immediate needs. The position has significant responsibilities in line with a standard crisis hotline. The Hotline Interventionist will coordinate with Emergency Services staff on shelter availability, scheduling client arrivals, and arranging special accommodations to prepare for callers approved for shelter. Additionally, this position will establish and maintain open, professional, and healthy lines of communication with all Emergency and Residential Services staff to communicate pertinent and appropriate client-related information to support survivors. This may include restraining disruptive or dangerous student behavior as needed. * Support the TBSI initiative.
