The PHP Therapist is responsible for delivering therapeutic services to individuals in the Partial Hospitalization Program, including group and individual therapy, discharge planning, and communication with interdisciplinary and external stakeholders. The role supports patients with psychiatric, emotional, and/or substance use disorders throughout their treatment journey.
Essential Functions
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to educate and treat patients experiencing psychological, emotional, or substance use issues.
Actively participate in treatment planning, discharge, transition, and after-care processes.
Provide family therapy sessions as needed to support continuity of care and reduce barriers to treatment.
Support with patient vitals and urine drug screening (UDS) as needed.
Communicate proactively with patients, families, and referral sources in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
Collaborate consistently with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, UR, and nursing staff.
Support UR team functions and provide treatment updates or documentation for authorizations.
Complete required clinical paperwork including psychosocial assessments, Columbia Suicide Risk Scale, and progress notes.
Respond appropriately to patient crises and participate in de-escalation procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge of confidentiality, HIPAA, and clinical regulations (TJC, CARF, Medicaid, etc.).
Assist care coordination with discharge planning and continuity of care.
Complete all documentation thoroughly, accurately, and within facility timelines.

SUMMARY
The Clinical Professional may be a fulltime or part-time position and is considered non-exempt and paid hourly. Provides services or supports in residential, vocational or in-home settings. Clinical expertise may include knowledge for specialized populations such as developmental disability, brain injury, mental health or others, or expertise in special disciplines such as behavioral support, early intervention, crisis intervention or others. The Clinical Professional assists with day-to-day activities which may include socialization, skill acquisition programming personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community integration, shopping, citizenship, and/or other activities of daily living. The Clinical Professional works from a primary program or site location and may be required to travel between sites, to individual's homes and may accompany individuals into the community. Services and Supports
Provides direct support or assistance in accordance with individual service or program plans; assists with socialization and behavioral development, personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community orientation, shopping, financial management, citizenship, and other activities of daily living.

Health Care
May accompany individuals to medical appointments; relays orders and information to and from medical providers as required.
If assigned, accurately administers and documents delivery of medications and treatments; promptly reports administration errors; maintains appropriate security of controlled medications and other medications and supplies.
Monitors individual's health; documents health concerns; communicates with nurse or supervisor as appropriate; calls 911 in the event of emergency; follows individual health care directives.

Attends orientation and on-going training as directed; participates in monthly staff meetings.
Works scheduled hours; arrives for work on time; stays on shift until replacement arrives; notifies supervisor in advance when unable to work as scheduled or as soon as possible after the designated start time; may fill in for other shifts where required without causing unapproved overtime, or in the event of emergency.

Maintenance

Checks water temperature as required when assisting with bathing; participates in safety drills and protects persons being served in the event of emergency.

What You'll Do
As a Behavioral Health Technician 1, you'll:

SUMMARY
The Clinical Professional may be a fulltime or part-time position and is considered non-exempt and paid hourly. Provides services or supports in residential, vocational or in-home settings. The position is responsible for providing direct support to individuals or programs where specialized knowledge or expertise may be required. Clinical expertise may include knowledge for specialized populations such as developmental disability, brain injury, mental health or others, or expertise in special disciplines such as behavioral support, early intervention, crisis intervention or others. The Clinical Professional assists with day-to-day activities which may include socialization, skill acquisition programming personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community integration, shopping, citizenship, and/or other activities of daily living. The Clinical Professional works from a primary program or site location and may be required to travel between sites, to individual's homes and may accompany individuals into the community. Is expected to be available in the event of an emergency.

Services and Supports
Provides direct support or assistance in accordance with individual service or program plans; assists with socialization and behavioral development, personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community orientation, shopping, financial management, citizenship, and other activities of daily living.
Accurately documents progress and activity; reviews records and logs to stay abreast of changes in service plans; maintains confidentiality; accurately and timely completes billing documentation as applicable.
Maintains healthy and professional relationships with individuals, friends, families, guardians and case managers; greets family members and other visitors; implements Network Customer Service Standards.
Reports any instance of alleged abuse or neglect according to internal and external standards; reports medical, behavioral and other incidents in accordance with Network policy and external requirements.
Maintains confidentiality, respects the rights of persons being served, according to applicable the bill of rights; practices universal precautions; assists individuals in exercising their rights.
Health Care
May accompany individuals to medical appointments; relays orders and information to and from medical providers as required.
If assigned, accurately administers and documents delivery of medications and treatments; promptly reports administration errors; maintains appropriate security of controlled medications and other medications and supplies.
Monitors individual's health; documents health concerns; communicates with nurse or supervisor as appropriate; calls 911 in the event of emergency; follows individual health care directives.
Employment Responsibilities:
Attends orientation and on-going training as directed; participates in monthly staff meetings.
Works scheduled hours; arrives for work on time; stays on shift until replacement arrives; notifies supervisor in advance when unable to work as scheduled or as soon as possible after the designated start time; may fill in for other shifts where required without causing unapproved overtime, or in the event of emergency.

Maintenance
May transport individuals into the community; drives safely and according to local laws; assures proper use of safety equipment including seat belts, lifts and wheelchair ties; reports accidents to appropriate authorities immediately; reports accidents and safety concerns immediately to supervisor or maintenance personnel.
Checks water temperature as required when assisting with bathing; participates in safety drills and protects persons being served in the event of emergency.

Education and Experience:

What You'll Do
As a Behavioral Health Technician 1 - ROVER, you'll:
Work full-time, 40 hours a week on-site.
Supervise patient's daily living, social skills, and money management.
Communicate with patients in various situations as directed by a supervisor.
Provide patient care and support.
Document patient care and implement treatment plans under general supervision.
Respond to medical and psychiatric codes and intervene pro-actively using approved techniques.
