Duties
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine the severity of substance use and mental health disorder(s).

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure collaborative holistic care for clients.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate clients and their families about mental health symptomology, recovery processes, and available resources.
Qualifications
Master's degree Required in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Proven experience in mental health and substance abuse counseling required.
Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques.
Familiarity with medical records management and documentation practices.
Strong skills in patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
Ability to facilitate individual, group and family counseling sessions effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.

ESSENTIAL & CORE FUNCTIONS:
1.Plans and provides behavioral health coaching to support resident's day-to-day routine including but not limited to relationship/community support, socializations, nutritional, environmental, religious, and cultural needs under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Nurse.
2.Assists CNA in daily personal care routine i.e., feeding support, morning and bedtime routine, communication.
3.Monitors residents' condition and assists in administering therapeutic care including medication compliance.
4.Facilitates healthy and socially acceptable behaviors while living in a community environment.
5.Reinforces positive behaviors to ensure boundaries are maintained with other residents, staff, and visitors and intervene as needed to maintain a safe environment.
6.Supports residents in meeting their clinical goals as outlined by the resident and treatment team in the individualized care plan.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

2.12+ College credits in human services strongly preferred.
3.Must have 3-5 years' experience providing care to older adults.
4.Current CPR certification required.
5.Previous Psychiatric or Addictions experience preferred.

Position Details:
Reporting to: Director of Operations
Schedule: Part-time, three 8 hour shifts/week.
Location: Langhorne, PA (On-site).
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Supervision and Safety: Monitor patients and facility grounds, conduct safety checks, and communicate with medical staff for attention needs. Ensure adherence to facility rules and document incidents.
Waive Testing: Measure and report vital signs, conduct UDS and pregnancy tests, and comply with company policies.
Patient Interaction and Support: Maintain respectful and professional interactions with patients, offering emotional support, referring clinical concerns to therapy staff. Demonstrate empathy and adaptability in addressing diverse patient needs.
Communication and Team Collaboration: Share relevant patient information with the Team Leader, Supervisor/Operations Director while collaborating with the team to ensure high-quality care. Maintain positive relationships within the addiction treatment community and contribute to a supportive team environment.
Daily Program and Facility Management: Assist in patient transport, group coordination, and recreational activities. Ensure facility safety, supervise supplies, and manage patient discharge preparations.
Required Qualifications:
Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant behavioral health certification.
Work experience in the field of substance use disorder or mental health treatment.
Experience working with patients at various levels of care, with an emphasis on detox and residential levels of care.
An associate's degree or higher.

Salary: Salary Range $18-20/hr
The Behavioral Health Technician directly supervises and stabilizes substance abuse clients and reports to the Director of Operations.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
· Assist with client services, including intake and discharge processes, group facilitation, and behavioral intervention like de-escalation of clients when necessary.
· Assist clinical team with Against Medical Advice (AMA) blocking
· Ensure program schedules and clinical/medical directives are being followed at all times, which can include assisting in medication pass, creating doctors appointments and other assessments.
· Assisting RN with tasks as needed and within scope of practice
· Implement therapeutic activities and facilitate development of independent living skills.
· Oversee the cleanliness of the units, including room cleaning upon discharge of client and ensure the proper use of equipment and supplies
· Screen clients' belongings and/or persons upon admission and routinely as need, confiscate prohibited items, and log client valuables that are being held by the facility into the Kipu file for tracking purposes.
· Observes and reports clients behaviors to supervisor and/or clinical team in a timely manner, documents clients whereabouts during scheduled rounds.
· Enter information at the end of each shift in the shift report log on the computer.
· Maintain front office area by ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies, kept clean and orderly at all times, and relay any maintenance related issues to supervisor.
· Maintaining communication with housekeeping to ensure discharged patient rooms are prepped, cleaned, and disinfected, and assist with moving clients to new rooms.
· Participate in daily room checks and searches when appropriate
· Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional Code of Conduct and HIPPA Regulations in compliance with 42CFR, Part 2
· Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
· Maintain communication with all Medical, Clinical, and Operations departments to ensure everyone is working seamlessly as a team
· Other tasks assigned by management
· Comply with local, state, and federal confidentiality laws and regulations

The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper (RVCH) continues our organization's renowned approach to addiction recovery, which combines evidence-based treatment with holistic programming that promotes wellness in body and mind. Our 90-bed, 55,000-square-foot facility offers a full continuum of care, ranging from the initial detox process to the aftercare services provided when treatment ends. Clients also participate in our Weekly Recovery Compass program, which helps to directly identify, monitor and address potential setbacks that can be counterproductive to recovery.
RVCH is located in the heart of Cherry Hill, NJ, near the Delaware River. With convenient interstate access, out-of-state clients can enjoy a 30-minute drive from the nearby Philadelphia International Airport.
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for the observation and monitoring of patients in treatment and reporting duties as indicated and contributes to the welfare of the organization and assists patients in a variety of patient activities. Assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:
