A Brief Overview
Provides physical and psychological care to patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered.
What you will do
Works with individual patients in a 1-on-1 setting or in a group setting that is consistent with the nursing care needs of the patient and the inter-disciplinary treatment plan.
Participates in the daily inter-disciplinary treatment team meeting as needed, providing input in terms of patient behaviors and interactions with others.
Implements suicide precautions as needed.
Assesses changes in patient's condition/behavior and notifies RN.
Assists with patient and family programs as well as being continually cognizant of the safety and welfare of all participants.
Assists with the activities of daily living care of the patients to include, but not limited to: vital signs, collection of specimens, and other general nursing care procedures.
Assesses individual patient needs and provides input in creating and modifying the nursing care plan and assists with implementing necessary therapeutic activities.
Maintains accurate and concise records, documenting promptly all pertinent information in the patient's EMR.
Assesses impending agitation and escalation of behavioral changes and participates in the behavioral management of these patients.
Researches, plans, and implements the updating and development of new therapeutic patient groups with oversight from the Programming Committee.

Qualifications:
The Education District requires an applicant to have a PELSB License, preferably in one or more of the following areas of licensure:
Licensed Special Education Teacher, preferably in Emotional or Behavior Disorders (EBD), Licensed School Psychologist, Licensed School Counselor, Board Certification Behavior Analyst (BCBA), School Social Worker, or School Counselor.
Experience in child behavior and intervention experience required.

Support schools with implementation of best practices in SEL-related assessment, instruction, inclusion, accessibility, and program evaluation.

Support teams in planning for transitions of students with SEL-related needs between buildings (i.e., from elementary to secondary).

Requirements:
A BehaviorTechnician provides one-on-one behavioral intervention services to children with special needs and support to their families under the close supervision of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
RBTs may work with clients in-home, in-school, in-center, and in the community.

Job Summary:
* Develop and implement multiple tiers of support for behavior intervention in elementary buildings
* Conduct individual group and student intervention services
* System level data collection and analysis for behavior and character programming
* Initiate and maintain parent/guardian communication pertaining to individual student needs.
* Implement best practice behavior management strategies across school system.
* Support students and staff in unique and unanticipated circumstances.
* Promote and teach proactive practices to minimize student behavioral needs.
* Creation of schedules for events.
* Execute appropriate discipline, attendance, processes and procedures, such as restorative circles.
* Provides supervision and student coaching for recess/lunchroom as needed.
* Supervise bus loading and unloading.
* Meet with parents (e.g., new to school, those with concerns, PTO).
* Assist in the direction of Student Assistance Team, site leadership team, etc.
* Manage student 504 plans
* Participate as a member of the District Crisis Team
* Implement data collection systems to monitor student progress
* Provide direct instruction in behavior modification strategies to students.
* Assist with the development and implementation of tiered instruction for students
* Work collaboratively with team members to support the academic, social and emotional growth of elementary learners.
* Participate in regular PLC meetings as an active and engaged professional.
* Communicate frequently with parents, colleagues, students, and administrators through all available means of technology.
* Establish and maintain high standards for character growth.
Qualifications:
* Current Minnesota Teaching License required.
* Mental Health (School Psychologist, Social Worker, School Counselor) License Preferred.
* Demonstrated skillsets in the following areas required:
* Written and oral communication.
* Conflict resolution.
* Strategic leadership.
* Leadership in difficult situations.
* Professional interpersonal relationships.
* Masters Degree preferred
* Background in CharacterCounts!, PBIS, restorative practices, Responsive Classroom, and/or systems intervention preferred.

* Demonstrated experience in collaboration and problem-solving.
* Experience with curriculum and assessment design and data management preferred.
