We are currently looking for a part-time BT/RBT that is available to work from 12-5pm Monday through Thursday. Additional hours may be available in the mornings and Fridays as our client caseload grows. This position has the potential to turn into a full-time position if interested.

The Behavior Technician must maintain personal insurance of the vehicle that they utilize during work hours. Current Vehicle Insurance Verification must be provided every six months.

The Behavior Interventionist, under the direction of the site principal, assists
teachers in providing support and resources to academically and behaviorally
challenged individuals or small groups of students; monitors, redirects and
modifies student progress regarding inappropriate behaviors and
performance; while providing interventions in reading and math so as to
improve student achievement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Administers one-on-one interventions to students in a school setting; participates
in intervention meetings through Professional Learning Communities.
2. Facilitates alternative school placements as needed.
3. Collects data and records anecdotal student progress notes; maintains academic
and behavioral charting data.
4. Monitors and assists students in prescribed (reading and math) learning
activities.
5. Monitors, observes and reports academic and behavior of students according to
approved procedures; reports progress regarding student performance and
behavior.
6. Serves as the liaison between the school and home as well as provide resources
and community wrap around services.
7. Conducts parent training nights.
8. Assists students and parents with academic (reading and math) and emotional
supports and community resources.
9. Communicates with teachers regarding individual needs of students; provides
input regarding student progress.
10. Provides student's teacher with weekly updates on group and individual
intervention. Confers with teacher, as needed, concerning programs and
materials to meet student needs.
11. Utilizes district resources to construct grade level appropriate academic and
behavior interventions.
12. Conducts classroom observations focused on student classroom academics and
behaviors.
13. Directs group activities of students as assigned.
14. Participates in meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
15. Performs related tasks as required.
Length of Contract: One hundred eighty two (182) contract days.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Building
Principal in accordance with the provisions of the Board's
policies and state law.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Opening Summer 2024. Behavioral Health Center at Porter Health Village, a 48-bed facility, will more that double Norman Regional Health System's inpatient capacity for adult and senior behavioral health patients and add new services, including an intensive outpatient program and a dedicated geriatric behavioral health unit. The freestanding hospital will be located on the Norman Regional Porter campus and replace the existing 20-bed behavioral health unit.
The Mental Health Technician (MHT) supports the nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic milieu by performing routinely assigned tasks and carrying out patient care activities within the scope of the MHT's training and experience. The MHT will maintain a safe and professional standard for patient care in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans' Mission, policies and procedures and performance improvement standards.
Essential Functions:

Education
