Job Description
Under the direction of a licensed physician, registered nurse, or clinical supervisor, the Psychiatric Technician performs professional therapeutic procedures in the care and treatment of severely and persistently mentally ill and emotionally disturbed patients.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Gives a basic level of general and psychiatric nursing care to mentally ill patients; works with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide an overall treatment program for the patient;
Under supervision, may perform nursing procedures such as administering medications and treatments, including oral medications, injections, and enemas, taking and charting vital signs;
Observes patients' condition and behavior; reports significant changes to supervisor or physician and documents care and/or treatments in nursing progress notes on patients; prepares patients and cares for them during treatment; gives first aid as needed;
Helps to create a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and recognizes early symptoms/signs of escalation and at risk behavior; uses appropriate interventions including crisis intervention, verbal de-escalation, and alerting other team members;
Implements therapeutic activities and documents patient participation; assists rehabilitation therapists in occupational and recreational therapies for patients;
Motivates patients to develop independence in performing activities of daily living; assists patients with feeding, clothing, toileting, activities of daily living; ensure patients follow safe practices that protect patients and others from personal injury;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
LICENSE: Possession of a valid Psychiatric Technicians license issued by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Under supervision of the Program Supervisor and/or Clinical Manager, implements in-home/community-based intervention in person and/or via teletherapy.
Travels to home and other community settings, as required, to deliver services.

Paraprofessionals & Behavioral Interventionists
Compensation: $21-$26/hour
RCM Healthcare is currently hiring Paraprofessionals and Behavioral Interventionists to provide direct support to students with IEPs inthe San Francisco area. These positions are school-based, working either in classrooms or one-to-one with students under the guidance of teachers and/or a BCBA when a Behavior Intervention Plan is in place.
Responsibilities
Support students in achieving goals outlined in their IEP and/or BIP.
Assist with classroom routines, behavior management, and academic support.
Provide personal care as needed, which may include toileting, diapering, and feeding support.
Accurately collect and report data on student progress.
Use CPI de-escalation strategies and implement safe physical interventions when necessary.
Requirements
Must meet one of the following:
Passing score on the Paraprofessional (Parapro) exam
48 completed college credit hours
Associate's (AA) degree or higher
Comfortable working with students with special needs, including behavioral and developmental challenges.
Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and BCBAs.

Patience, empathy, and an understanding of developmental stages.
Ability to apply ABA strategies effectively.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule & Physical Requirements
Hours align with the school district's bell schedule (no nights, weekends, or holidays).

We are accepting resumes for full-time Interventional Psychiatry Technician at applicants who can float between our Berkeley and Corte Madera locations. They will be trained to administer TMS and Ketamine therapies for patients suffering from depression. This position works between our locations as needed by the company.
We are seeking candidates who are extremely comfortable working directly with patients in a healthcare environment (psychiatry experience is preferred). Setup and monitor daily TMS & Ketamine treatments for patients, completing all necessary treatment documentation and scheduling patients for daily We are accepting resumes for full-time Mental Health Technicians that support interventional psychiatry (IVP) at our Berkeley and Corte Madera locations. They will be trained to administer interventional psychiatric procedures including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine therapies for patients suffering from depression.
Essential Duties
Schedule calibration and IVP treatment series.
Administer all IVP patient treatments and monitor for any medical concerns.
Complete treatment reports and all required medical documentation for each treatment.
Send physician referral letters for all assigned IVP patients.
Closing treatment charts and entering outcomes.
Post-treatment follow-up calls to patients up to two years.
Duties
Prepare, distribute and respond to all assigned office correspondence - shared duty
Check voicemails throughout the day and answer/return phone calls to patients, doctors, and insurance/billing companies, or allocate in database as appropriate - shared duty
Create and respond to emails from patients, doctors, and insurance/billing companies, or allocate to appropriate coworkers in database.
Complete personal daily tasks assigned in Salesforce
Treat patients based on the daily assigned
Assess patients' daily health status and engage them throughout treatment.
Assure treatment maintains full contact and any patient problems are addressed immediately.
Scheduled follow-up visits with their physician - shared duty
Assure rating scales are provided to patients and completed.
Assist with special projects as assigned, including clinical research, marketing projects, and social media outreach.
Attend all staff meetings.
Keep office supplies stocked/adding items to the supply order list when low - shared duty

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Under supervision of the Program Supervisor and/or Clinical Manager, implements in-home/community-based intervention in person and/or via teletherapy.
* Travels to home and other community settings, as required, to deliver services.

Students may apply for field placement in one of two clinical service areas:
* Adult Mental Health Team: Trainees/interns will gain educational experience in the clinic at the Adult Mental Health Center and in various community settings including homes, board and care facilities, shelters, and the streets. Services are provided to Berkeley residents over the age of 18 who are dealing with severe mental illness. Incoming first-year graduate students are welcome to apply for placement with this team.
* High School Health Centers: Trainees/interns will gain educational experience at the Health Centers located at Berkeley High School and Berkeley Technology Academy. Services at the Health Center include individual counseling, crisis assessment, group counseling, collateral work with parents/caregivers and school staff, and outreach. Students must complete at least one year of their graduate program prior to the beginning of field placement with this team.
Student trainees/interns are not employees and do not receive wages or benefits. The City may provide a stipend in order to account for certain costs related to the program, such as travel to and from facilities. The anticipated stipend for the 2026-2027 school year is $6000. The amount of the stipend will be equal for all trainees/interns who complete the program.
Onboarding will begin on August 10, 2026, subject to change. Mandatory training will be scheduled for August 17, 2026.Applicants must be current students enrolled in a relevant graduate program (Master's level) at one of the following schools:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Under supervision of the Program Supervisor and/or Clinical Manager, implements in-home/community-based intervention in person and/or via teletherapy.
Travels to home and other community settings, as required, to deliver services.
