A day in the life:
Conduct 1:1 ABA therapy sessions with early learners and young adults with Autism through teaching sessions in the home or community setting.
Implement behavioral intervention and individualized treatment plans for children between the ages of 2 and 21.
Participate in BCBA trainings, team meetings, client observations and parent training as needed.
Maintain open and direct communication with the BCBA and other RBT team members as needed relating to the delivery of treatment to our pediatric patients.
Receive Supervision from your BCBA at a minimum of 10% of services provided.
Maintain professional boundaries around our child patients and their families as indicated by the BACB.
Enter data and all trials utilized daily for each pediatric patient for all programs targeted.
Remain available for all supervision sessions, phone conferences, and team meetings required by the BCBA.

DHHS is dedicated to a therapeutic, rehabilitative, and holistic approach to their care, and is in need of Behavior Technicians to work with the population YRTC-Lincoln. We provide individualized treatment to high acuity youth, using an Applied Behavioral Analysis approach. These positions will, under general supervision, provide continuous intensive behavioral modification, trauma-focused interventions, residential care, custody, and supervision of the youth at the 24-hour state facility located in Lincoln, NE. Candidates for this position should have a passion for working with youth needing a high level of support and stability.
Job Duties:
* Direct care for youth with high acuity using trauma-focused interventions.
* De-escalation of verbal and physical aggression with inclusion of behavioral modification strategies.
* Continuous and intensive interventions to encourage skill building of life and communication skills.
* Direct implementation of continuous and intensive treatment plans and therapeutic activities using positive reinforcement strategies.
* Monitor and document daily behavior and progress of the youth.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent education. Completion of: 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training; complete a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) competency assessment exam which must be completed within 120 days of hire. A valid driver's license and ability to become an authorized vehicle driver for the State of Nebraska is also required.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any of the fields mentioned above. Previous experiencing working with youth aged 14-19.
Other: This position requires proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the language effectively. This position requires the candidate be able to obtain their medication aide license.

Provides consistent monitoring and safety of youth under your supervision to assure safety in all program and non-program areas. What You'll Do
As a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician, you will provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in a structured, center-based setting. You will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support children in areas such as communication, social interaction, play, and daily living skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering direct 1:1 ABA therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
Implementing treatment plans developed by a BCBA
Accurately collecting and recording data on client progress during each session
Assisting with the development of age-appropriate skills
Collaborating with a clinical team to review outcomes and adjust strategies
Creating a positive, engaging, and safe environment for learning and growth

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
RBT certification (preferred, but not required-training provided)
