Under the direct supervision of the BCBA and in coordination with the Director of Student Services, The RBT provides high-quality behavioral therapy to individuals identified as requiring the services for an RBT. To be successful, one must possess both written and verbal communication skills, strong collaboration skills, and interpersonal interaction skills. The RBT must implement care plans for children as identified. The RBT must assist with the delivery of behavior analysis services and practices under the guidance and supervision of the BCBA. Duties and responsibilities:
Behavior Intervention Implementation

Address and manage challenging behaviors using appropriate ABA and safety care techniques.

Record accurate and detailed data on client progress and behavior during sessions.

Report any concerns or changes in client behavior to the supervising BCBA promptly.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with BCBAs, teachers, school staff, and families to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
Act as a liaison between the center, school staff, and families, fostering positive relationships.
Environmental Preparation
Set up and maintain therapy materials and environments to support successful sessions.
Adapt materials and teaching approaches to align with the needs of individual clients.
Compliance
Adhere to ethical standards outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Follow organizational policies, school policies, and all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Must hold an active RBT certification from the BACB
Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral challenges (preferred).
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to dynamic environments
Working conditions:
RBT's will be required to work in the school and center locations, 40 hours per week, to meet the billable expectation of 35 billable hours per week.
While working in the schools they conduct themselves in a professional manner to represent the values of RSC.
RBT's will be required to work one Saturday per month from 8:45 am to 12:15pm.
Requires physical activity, including sitting, standing, and engaging in play-based interactions.
Travel may be required between centers and school locations.
Physical requirements:
RBT's must be able to engage in extended periods of time of sitting on the floor, while making quick transitions from a seated position to standing position to prevent child elopement.
RBT's must be able to implement safety care procedures during escalated situations with a child to maintain safety for the child and others in the environment.

A Mental Health Technician (MHT) performs selected patient care activities under the supervision of the Program Director and/or Nurse Manager. Assist in emergency care if necessary
Maintain continuity among peers by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety standards; infection-control policies and protocols; storage procedures; and controlled substance regulations
Use hygienic practices and teach patient hygienic practices
Attends and contributes to therapeutic groups, community meetings and activities
Attends appropriate facility in-service training programs
Completes all required educational sessions, including staff meetings and competencies per unit/hospital policy
Ensure operations of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; and evaluating new equipment and techniques
Assist with tele psych equipment as required
Provide feedback to supervisor on ongoing basis in regard to concerns, improvements, changes, etc.

Your Position
As a Part-Time or Full-Time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you will observe the behavior of clients, monitor clients throughout non-clinical hours, and report to the clinical staff and management. You will also participate in the day-to-day operations of the facility. The main priority of a BHT is to make sure that clients remain safe at all time. BHTs typically wear scrubs during work hours. BHTs must be open to working 12-hour shifts.

Assist in emergency care if necessary
Maintain continuity among peers by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety standards; infection-control policies and protocols; storage procedures; and controlled substance regulations
Use hygienic practices and teach patient hygienic practices
Attends and contributes to therapeutic groups, community meetings and activities
Attends appropriate facility in-service training programs
Completes all required educational sessions, including staff meetings and competencies per unit/hospital policy
Ensure operations of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; and evaluating new equipment and techniques

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

MHTs work in close contact with patients who have moderate to severe psychiatric concerns and/or behavioral issues. There is the possibility MHTs could be exposed to violent behavior from patients and/or infectious diseases as part of their daily duties.
This role periodically uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

What We're Looking For
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles

Psychiatric Emergency Program (PEP) is a 6-bed emergency behavioral crisis unit located within the ED. Elliot Behavioral Health Services is staffed by a team of mental health professionals who tailor both evaluation and treatment services to each individual patient. Our state-of-the-art units provide a wide array of equipment and patient acuity depending on a nurse's professional interests, certifications, and experience level.
About the Job:
The Mental Health Technician works under the direction of the RN Charge Nurse, and shares responsibility for providing and maintaining a therapeutic milieu through supervised therapeutic activities. The Mental Health Technician facilitates and provides direct care for patients of all ages; supports the therapeutic milieu; ensures the safety and well-being of patients.
What You'll Do:
Participates in conversation, recreational activities, and basic living activities
Sets limits, confronts counterproductive behavior, and reassures and orients patients
Performs safety checks and assists in managing therapeutic milieu
Collaborates with other unit personnel with crisis intervention techniques
Facilitates and leads community meetings and groups
Who You Are:
Associates degree, Certification in Behavioral Sciences program, or its equivalent coursework required
6 months experience in behavioral health setting preferred
Aggression de-escalation training approved by EHS
