Resident Mentors work as members of the treatment team alongside other mental health professionals, therapists and nurses. Mentors work in the residential treatment setting. They assist in observing patient behavior on an ongoing basis to monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and document progress in patient charts. Mentors assist with programs, activities of daily living, recreational opportunities and meals.
Resident Mentors act as a role model for our patients (ages 6-17 years) by demonstrating appropriate behavior and applying active listening techniques. Our Resident Mentors protect patients' rights by demonstrating appropriate professional and personal behavior, reporting observed violations of patients' rights and suspected or known instances of client abuse or neglect. Qualifications
Education: High School Graduation or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
