    Salary: $20.00 - $27.50 per Hour once certified Job description:Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / RBT Certification Training Basic Definition: The interventionist is a term used for an entry level paraprofessional who is seeking to become a Board Certified Registered Behavior Technician ("RBT"). Settle Down ABA offers a comprehensive training and certification program for all candidates wishing to gain access to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis as an RBT. The Registered Behavior Technician(RBT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst "BCBA" or Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst " BCaBA." The RBT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services. The RBT does not design intervention or assessment plans. It is the responsibility of the BCBA or BCaBA supervisor to determine which tasks an RBT may perform as a function of his or her training, experience, and competence. The RBT is only authorized to perform their services under the direct supervision of a licensed BCBA or BCaBA who is supervising the RBT is that is directly responsible for the work performed on the individual cases they are overseeing. Duties & Scope of the RBT Certification Process: Completes an approved 40 Hour Certification Program that meets all requirements of the BACB's current published ciriculum. Assists the BC(a) BA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting. Collects data on all programming and writes progress notes. Advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel within the scope of there practice. Participates in in-service programs and presents in-service programs as assigned by the BC(a) BA's. Understands and adheres to established company policies and procedures. Participates with all other personnel, as needed, in patient care planning. Maintain the BC(a) BA's patient care protocols with families and others in home programs. Instruction to patient/family in home program with documentation in medical record notes. Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information per HIPAA Guidelines and Company Policy. Immediately reports to BC(a) BA any patient incidents/variances or complaints. Adminsitrative Responsibilities of Staff of SDABA: Adhears to SDABA policies and procedures Maintains compliance to SDABA's trianing ciriculum and attendance to the required protocols for the agency. Adheres to Agency standards and consistently interprets and accurately performs all assigned tasks, duties and responsibilities of the role. Complies and maintains acceptable attendance status, per company policy. Reports all incomplete work assignments to BC(a) BA's. Appearance is always within company standards; is clean and well groomed. Demonstrates effective time management skills through daily documentation and infrequent overtime for routine assignments. Maintains a sanitary, clean and neat work environment. Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking and decision making. Conditions of Employment Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to50 poundsunassisted. Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, or move forextended periods of timeduring therapy sessions. Ability to safely and effectively assist clients in both seated and active therapy settings. Mental & Emotional Stability Maintain professional composure and emotional stability while working with individuals with developmental or behavioral challenges. Demonstrate the capacity to make sound decisions in potentially stressful or crisis situations. Driving Requirements Possess and maintain avalid Nevada drivers licenseandreliable insured transportationto travel between client locations and company sites as required. Maintain a clean driving record in accordance with company and insurance guidelines. State of Nevada Fingerprinting & Background Check Successful completion of Nevada Department of Public Safety fingerprinting and background checkprior to start date and as required for continued employment. Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining clearance as required by state law and insurance regulations.
