The Role: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides hands-on behavioral support services and training to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Makom's clinic-based setting. Under the supervision of a licensed clinician or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT implements individualized behavior support plans and delivers hands-on training and modeling of interventions to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Registered Behavior Technician plays a critical role in supporting individual growth, staff competency, and overall service effectiveness. Essential responsibilities include: Behavioral Support & Skill Development Implement individualized behavior intervention and support plans as designed by clinical supervisors. Maintain confidentiality and client dignity in compliance with HIPAA and Makom policies. Collaboration & Professional Engagement Collaborate with clinical staff and interdisciplinary team members. Participate in ongoing training, supervision sessions, and team meetings. Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved de-escalation techniques. Support service delivery in accordance with Maryland DDA Behavioral Support Services (BSS) guidelines. Other Responsibilities Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive clinic environment. Work Environment Clinic-based setting serving adults receiving behavioral and therapeutic services. As a RBT, you will play a crucial role in providing behavioral health services to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
