Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct line therapy to clients following all of the guidelines set forth in the treatment plan. Work 1:1 or in small groups to work on individualized skill acquisition objectives. Manages 2-3 client cases which include: summarizing data, maintaining a program book and materials, participating in treatment planning sessions, and maintaining a good rapport with parents of clients through weekly parent contacts. Manages challenging behaviors through approved QBS techniques with clients using training and behavior plan provided. Graduate student supervision provided. Participates in required trainings. They will assist management with: ensuring client engagement schedules are being followed including therapy attendance. conduct daily observations on engagement and provide immediate feedback/praise when necessary. teach and model staff when dealing with more difficult clients. assist in more specific community access goals and interact directly with clients in the community when they are resistant or are otherwise underperforming in meeting their goals. BTs would be responsible for responding to crisis situations during their shift and often responsible for managing and assessing the interventions of staff (e.g., QBS protocol). While BTs will primarily be working with BCBAs, they will also be expected to work well within the multidisciplinary team. They will also need to communicate and work collaboratively with the Residential Unit Coordinators, Residential Supervisors, Program Coordinators, and clinicians of various disciplines (e.g., Occupational Therapists, Psychotherapists, Speech Therapists, Recreation Therapists, Health Educators, Dietician, Physical Therapists, etc.) depending on the client's programming. BTs would work with clients on community transportation goals (e.g. cabbing, busing, and walking with them) and would help clients in developing their own social networks in the community. They would be available to provide pre-teaching, goal setting, and to provide feedback with the goal to significantly improve social skill sets and eventually increase their social networks outside of Eisenhower Center. They would input Incident Reports for their units. Estimated 8-10 hours per week would be spent on data entry. BTs would handle client incentives and assist in troubleshooting issues with incentive protocols. BTs would work varied hours, highlighting their presence during B-shifts and weekends. There are a mix of BT schedules as the idea is to have coverage on the campus so that a BT is available if needed to assist managing crisis situations or difficult client behaviors. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the technician monitors individuals, assists with daily activities, and responds compassionately to behavioral changes. The ideal candidate is empathetic, person-centered, and thrives in dynamic settings. This position will work 3.12-hour shifts with rotating weekends. Essential Functions Assist Nursing staff with duties as directed, for example: patient supervision, vitals, room searches, patient searches, etc. Recognizes, responds to, and assists in crisis situations and provides interventions as necessary. Delivers indirect and selected direct patient care as directed by facility leadership. Conducts intake processes, searches of belongings and patients and completes BAC's and drug screen observations as directed by facility leadership. Monitors patient activity and documents any significant patient issues. Records rounds and ensures patient safety as specified in EHR. Conducts regular facility and grounds checks, advising facility leadership of any irregularities or safety concerns. Notifies and reports any health and safety issues, significant patient concerns and any out of the ordinary occurrences to facility leadership immediately. Completes all documentation requirements prior to the end of the shift. Performs basic housekeeping duties. Facilitates and leads daily groups as directed by facility leadership if applicable. Attends all staff meetings and in-service trainings. Completes all online training, policy verification, and ensures that their employee HR file is kept up to date.
