Lutheran Social Services of WI and Upper MI (LSS) is looking for a part-time, benefit eligible Therapist - In Training to work with children, adults and families in community settings with our Family Preservation Program! This is a part-time, 32 hour per week, benefit eligible opportunity.
Referrals come from county CCS programs, county Children Protective Services programs, and the Department of Corrections (DOC). Our therapists meet with children, adults, and families in community settings, including the home, and school to literally and figuratively meet the client where they are at. This position will be providing mental health and substance use treatment to clients we are supporting. All services provided require the use of counseling skills and treatment practices to help clients overcome barriers related based on the client's individual needs. All work, travel and documentation time is compensable.
As a therapist in training or licensed therapist with Family Preservation Services/CCS you will:
Provide in-home family therapy services to adult or youth clients and their families.
Conduct assessments of client needs using clinical interview, objective diagnostic tools.
Develop treatment plan collaboratively with client and other providers
Provide agreed upon and necessary therapeutic services, keeping with strength-based, evidence-based best practice
Complete required documentation within required timelines
Attend client recovery team meetings
Actively participate in clinical supervision
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in Social Work with Mental Health concentration, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related program is required.
Practicum experience, through your degree program, related to services LSS provides is required.
Eligibility for training license by meeting criteria set for by WI Department of Safety and Professional Services.
Experience providing psychotherapy services to families and individuals
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or be eligible to receive state licensure “in training” as an Advanced Practice Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor as applicable.
Must have a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to perform the essential duties of the role; a motor vehicle check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record per the LSS Driver Safety Procedure is required, and ability to meet LSS auto insurance requirements.
COMPUTER SKILLS/TECHNOLOGY:
Basic computer knowledge and application required. LSS uses Microsoft Office applications. Additional application training provided.
TRAVEL: Daily travel may be required. Travel will be done to the following counties: Polk, Washburn, and Burnette counties.

The Behavioral Health Tech is an integral multidisciplinary team player at Inner Haven Wellness. Techs are involved in multiple areas of a client's daily experience in treatment, as seen below in specific duties.

The Behavioral Health Technician will work cooperatively and collaboratively with the CORE team and other community members and organizations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provide emotional and moral support to all residents. Ensure the overall well-being and safety of our residents through careful interaction and communication.
Monitor resident activities, programming, and house rules by following the assigned schedule and keeping residents on task.
Assist residents in their process of stabilization and recovery by practicing clear and consistent boundaries.
Coordinate with client on various appointments and other responsibilities.
Accompany clients to community events, support meetings and other recovery activities, if appropriate and approved by clinical team.
Provide transportation.
Document client progress in electronic medical record.
Give input to clinical staff on client progress, concerns or other matters pertaining to client's substance use treatment.
Engage in ongoing agency training and staff meetings, including required CBRF training.
Follow agency protocols and policies.
Assist in food preparation, as needed, including food pickup. Temp foods according to food safety guidelines.

The Behavioral Health Technician is highly vigilant in supervising and minimizing risks of all patients. Due to the high visibility and significant patient interaction, this position is frequently the first responder to a variety of patient situations i.e. codes, behavioral outburst, attempts to introduce contraband and medical issues. UNIT DETAILS (Behavioral Health- Neenah Hospital):
This 19 bed unit serves a great purpose in the community treating various health needs. Our compassionate team is comprised of Psychiatric hospitalists, RN's, CNA's, Occupational Therapists, mental health therapists, utilization specialists, and administrative professionals. This environment allows for collaboration and learning on a daily basis. Our team is dedicated to the highest quality of care and fosters great learning opportunities.
SCHEDULE:
Straight 12-hour Night shift 5:30p-6a
Every other weekend required
Rotating holiday schedule required
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assist RN in maintaining and managing a safe and therapeutic environment for the patients.
Maintains line of sight supervision of assigned patients at all times. Constantly walks the unit observing each patient in the common areas as well as his/her room.
Provides care to patients in a manner that ensures patients' safety, protection of patient's rights, maximal patient comfort, and the optimal therapeutic environment.
Observes patient behavior and notifies unit nurse, therapist and other appropriate staff of pertinent information for action and documentation in the progress notes.
Serves as a role model for patients by consistently displaying positive and appropriate attitude, behavior, language, attire and appearance, etc.
Defuses and reports crisis situations, intervening when appropriate and uses proper procedures.
Assists with physical interventions with patients in response to required codes while under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager.
Documents patients' behaviors and activities according to established policies and guidelines.
Orients patient and family/significant others to the unit and hospital.
Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment by assisting with groups, setting limits on patients; following established safety and risk management policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED preferred. Must be 18 years of age. Preference is given to those with a degree or considerable coursework in the behavioral sciences or closely related field, and/or professional work experience in a behavioral healthcare hospital or residential treatment center.
