Behavior Technicians will use interventions based in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and are advised by a Licensed Behavior Analyst. No training in ABA? Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Establishes a therapeutic relationship with clients to promote optimal learning
Follows a treatment plan utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation
Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills
Fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding
Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations)
Accurately collects behavior data including: A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval based recording
Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment
Educates members of the treatment team that are key caregivers for the individual being treated
Performs tasks requested by the case supervisor within boundaries of the BT role when providing treatment
Completes assessments during treatment to gather information and clinical findings to report to the case supervisor to communicate progress and changes
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.

The Behavior Technician will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children diagnosed with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the home, community and school settings. The Behavior Technician will collect data on programs, provide support with parent trainings, and assist the Behavior Analyst in the behavior assessments.
Job Duties
Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
Follow the prescribed behavior skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as assigned.
Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
Assist with parent/caregiver training in the line with client individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
Effective communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Maintain a clean, safe and organized work and therapy environment.
Collaborate with treatment team including clients, parents, and caregivers, outside professionals, Lead Behavior Technicians, ABA Interns, and co-workers.
Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attend required trainings.
Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA laws.

BTs would handle client incentives and assist in troubleshooting issues with incentive protocols.
BTs would work varied hours, highlighting their presence during B-shifts and weekends. There are a mix of BT schedules as the idea is to have coverage on the campus so that a BT is available if needed to assist managing crisis situations or difficult client behaviors.

What You Have
Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 (on or before the first day of employment).
Eligibility to work in the United States.
