SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT PROGRAM CLINICIAN POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sex Offender Clinician is involved in working with patients, both male and female population, classified to Sex Offender treatment at the Delaware Department of Corrections facilities.
SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT PROGRAM CLINICIAN ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs group therapy interventions and individual treatment planning for clients.
Performs Sexual Risk Assessment Interviews and writes Sexual Risk and Needs Assessments.
Completes Discharge Summaries for client's post-treatment participation.
Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
Provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records, treatment notes, and reports.
Write documentation and assessments using clinical language.
Attends trainings and meetings as required and works towards completing Sex Offender Specific trainings to be credentialed on the Delaware Sex Offender Management Board.
SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT PROGRAM CLINICIAN MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling.
Licensed (i.e., LCSW, LPCMH), or actively working toward a license. Note - a LMSW is not considered a clinical license.
Must obtain licensure testing within 6 months of completing the required number of supervised hours and actively work towards obtaining credentialing with the Delaware Sex Offender Management Board (DE-SOMB).
Travel to specific locations to meet schedule needs.
SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT PROGRAM CLINICIAN PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience providing clinical therapy to individuals who have engaged in sexual offending behavior or individuals who have experienced sexual harm.
Experience with Sexual Risk Tools such as Static99r, STABLE-2007, and ISORA.
Experience with implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in a therapeutic setting.
If preferred experience is not met, applicant must be licensed and trained with experience in trauma informed care, past experience working with a forensic population, etc.)

Review behavior data, meet and discuss with the appropriate staff member any discrepancies noted on the behavior data (e.g. lack of documentation, inappropriate restrictions or lack of appropriate consequences; situations in which the current behavior program or treatment approach were not followed appropriately also, check each report to ensure that time, date, signatures, are correct).
