Essential Functions
* Oversee the full range of ABA treatment services including assessment, programming, progress monitoring, program modification, parent training, care coordination with other providers, and insurance authorization. Ensures all standards of care are followed per state and insurance guidelines.
* Provide clinical recommendations regarding treatment intensity, modality, and transition/ exit planning, in collaboration with parents and other stake holders, with the emphasis on delivering developmentally appropriate and socially valid client outcomes.
* Evaluate and modify treatment based on the Caravel Quality of Effective Treatment (QET) measure.
* Provide training and supervision to all levels of clinical staff to ensure high quality treatment services.
* Supervise others with a focus on developing supervisees' independent clinical skills, problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and fulfillment of certification requirements.
* Collaborate with other clinicians and cross functional team members.
* Complete all administrative tasks in a timely fashion, including but not limited to generating reports, completing insurance reviews, and completing forms to ensure appropriate funding for client services and staff management.

Supplemental Information
Service Schedule:
The Social-Emotional Learning Intervention Associate's scheduled hours may fluctuate based on student schedules throughout the school year. Typical schedule: Mon - Fri: Serve flexibly between the hours of 8am - 3pm for a minimum of 25 hours per week. Opportunities for weekend and evening hours or special events may become available during the year.
Example schedule for illustrative purposes:
* Monday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, Lunchbreak from 12:30-1pm
* Tuesday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, Lunchbreak from 12:30-1pm

Disaster Deployments: Member who opt-in to be engaged in disaster deployment/activities will need to ensure availability for the term of the disaster deployments, generally 2-4 weeks. Make plans for pets, family members, other employment and responsibilities that need regular attention.
Evaluations and Alternative Service:
AmeriCorps Members are required by the program to complete Self-Evaluations.
Mid-Term Evaluations: At the member's halfway point during their term of service, the member will complete a self-evaluation and their Site Supervisor will complete an evaluation on the member through AmericaLearns. The member and site supervisor will meet, with or without Program Staff, to discuss the evaluations in-depth. These evaluations must be submitted to the AmeriCorps Program.
End-Term Evaluations: Upon the completion of their AmeriCorps Contract, all members will complete an End-Term Evaluation through AmericaLearns. The End-Term Evaluation must be completed, signed, and submitted to the AmeriCorps Program within 30 days of the member's final date of service. Non-submission of this document within the 30-day timeframe will lead to the member being exited for cause (see section 9 of the Member Service Agreement) and will forfeit the member's right to the Education Award.
Members may engage in other allowable activities that are not specifically outlined in the position description, but that support the AmeriCorps program design, and which will help the Program meet its goals. Under no circumstances will members be asked to perform prohibited activities. Volunteers recruited and/or managed by AmeriCorps members will not participate in prohibited activities as outlined in the approved grant application.

* Serves as a resource for new clients introducing them to other clients and staff, explaining programs and encouraging participation. Orients clients to the activities program, explaining the benefits of activities.
* Maintains an awareness of client's needs and individual goals while motivating clients towards activities which are beneficial to them. Observes clients' interest levels and behaviors.
* Assists with activity planning by offering new activity ideas and diverse therapeutic recreation program.
* Organizes and sets up the equipment that is used in recreational activities. Provides clients with activity resources and supplies, as needed.
* Enforces safety rules to prevent injury and modifies activities to suit the needs of specific groups.
* Helps to develop and maintain departmental resources, sharing the responsibility to monitor equipment and supplies.
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
* Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and/or dual diagnosis and various treatment modalities of the population served preferred.
* CPR and de-escalation certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

Staff are required to actively participate in all camper activities, including water-related activities.
Staff must be ready for new experiences and maintain a consistent level of energy all summer long.
Position requires standing, stooping, sitting, walking long distances on uneven terrain (5+ miles a day), and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds with or without assistance.
Camp activities are often loud, involving many people talking, yelling, cheering, etc., in indoor and outdoor settings.
The camp environment is often hot, rainy, with bugs or other wildlife. Staff must be able to work outside in a nature setting for sustained periods of time without air conditioning.
All PEAK Initiative properties, including Lake Valley Camp and the Milwaukee Program Center, are substance-free environments. Smoking, vaping, alcohol consumption, and the use of illicit drugs are strictly prohibited on all property regardless of whether or not staff are on break.
Staff must be able to walk and perform activities in the dark in an outdoor, nature setting.
Staff must be able to sleep in a tent outdoors.
Staff must be able to eat in a dining hall setting with 100+ people. The dining hall will be very busy and very noisy during these times and staff are expected to supervise and sit with their cabins throughout the meals.
Staff must be able to eat family style meals in a dining hall for 3 meals a day. Sample menus available upon request. With pre-summer notice, the kitchen can accommodate most medical or value-based dietary restrictions.
Position requires working weekends and nights, with time off in between camp sessions. Camp days are often long and at times require late night camper support, especially for Leadership Team Members and Health Staff. Staff will have daily scheduled breaks. Staff will have a combination of work and on call hours for up to 22 hours a day for several consecutive days.
Staff must be able to reside in shared housing on the LVC overnight camp property in Boscobel, WI starting with staff training in June and ending after the last camp program lets out in mid-August.
Staff must be able to live and sleep in housing with campers. Cabins have electricity, but no plumbing. Staff and campers are required to use communal bath houses located within the village.

Treatment Specialist 1 - Substance Abuse Counselor
Behavior therapist job in Prairie du Chien, WI
This position formulates and implements individual and group interventions in the areas of reintegration planning and substance abuse treatment. The specialist will conduct evaluations using evidenced-based evaluation rating tools, will implement case and treatment plans and will delivery evidence-based substance abuse programming. The specialist will develop and implement therapeutic and behavioral interventions to improve a persons' in our care (PIOC) success in completing program requirements.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 12-64 with a starting pay of $27.84/hour - $34.34/hour.
This position may receive a $1.00 to $2.00 per hour add-on pay based on the type of SAC credential possessed at the time of hire.
Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past 5 years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $2,000. The sign-on bonus will be paid in two installments: $1000 on the first paycheck and $1000 with the paycheck for the pay period in which the employee attains permanent status (usually 1 year). (UW System employment isn't disqualifying.)
To receive the bonus, a candidate must sign an agreement indicating they will remain in that position for a year. If the candidate leaves their position prior to completing the one year, they may be required to reimburse the initial payment.

Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Applicants must possess a current Substance Abuse Counselor credential issued by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services in the form of a:
* Substance Abuse Counselor In-Training certificate (SAC-IT) (130)
* Substance Abuse Counselor certificate (SAC) (131) or a
* Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor certificate (CSAC) (132)
An applicant may also apply to be considered if:
* You have applied for a SAC-IT credential with DSPS
* Your application status on the DSPS site shows all criteria met or your only unmet criteria is the Employment Verification Form.
* You submit your PAR # to confirm your application status.
Anyone hired with a pending SAC-IT application must obtain the SAC-IT credential during the first 12 months of employment.
