Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, communicating, and continually evaluating the effectiveness of functional behavior assessments, behavioral evaluations, and behavior intervention plans. 1. Implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs): Plan interventions and strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote skill development. Ensure the consistent and accurate implementation of the BIP, maintaining fidelity to the plan's guidelines. 2. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect data on client progress and behaviors, using methods such as direct observation and checklists. Analyze the collected data to track progress, identify patterns, and inform decisions about modifying the intervention plan. 3. SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR JOB SUMMARY In this role, you will provide group and individual counseling, community support, case coordination and crisis intervention services to clients with a primary substance use disorder diagnosis. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Complete assessment of each client Initiate and sustain each individual's motivation to participate in treatment Develop a comprehensive service plan for each client Provide daily treatment and curriculum-based education groups Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED and 24 credit hours of college education or accredited training program in substance abuse counseling and/or other human services area. Higher education given preference. Required certification or license:-Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) IC&RC Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). LCPC preferred Two (2) years paid work experience in a substance abuse, correctional, or other human services counseling position. Other Qualifications: At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
