Autism From The Start is a playful and purposeful early intervention center for children with autism. Technicians will work under the guidance and supervision of a board certified and licensed behavior analysts. Applicants will deliver ABA (applied behavior analysis) intervention directly to children through the age of kindergarten using a variety of methodologies. Playfulness, an ability to genuinely connect with children, experience with toddlers & preschoolers, and a passion for autism and children under the age of six is essential. Prior experience working with children with autism as young as 2 years old is desired.
Essential Physical Requirements of a Registered Behavior Technician:
Ability to lift and carry 45 pounds
Climbing on playground equipment
Engage in physical play with children which may include: running/swinging/spinning/crawling/squatting with children
Maintain elevated heart rate during therapy sessions with children
Must be able to run faster than a 5 year old
Picking up and transporting children safely up to 100 yards in distance
Walking up and down stairs multiple times a day
Pushing and pulling children up to 45 pounds on wagons, wheel chairs, baskets, etc.
Repeated bending over assisting or playing with children
Fine motor dexterity
Singing, dancing, clapping is expected
Sitting on the floor without back support for extended periods

Expectations

Duties also include assuring AML compliance of individual cash value life and annuity products, periodic review and update of corporate AML policy and procedures, coordination of annual AML testing with corporate Audit, as well as coordination and documentation of periodic SDN and FinCEN searches with IT department.
Standard Practice Memorandums (SPM) and Compliance Bulletins. Research and update SPMs to incorporate legislative changes. Draft and coordinate distribution of compliance bulletins.
Product Evaluation. Assist marketing and product control in the evaluation of new products/ideas and identify regulatory and filing issues that may impact the programs.
Life/annuity/financial product line compliance, which includes legal support and assistance to (i) marketing and product control for new product analysis and development, and (ii) contracts department for existing product updates, new product contract drafting and project implementation, and objections on product filings.
NAIC Best Interest Annuity Suitability Compliance - Review and recommend updates to NAIC Best Interest Annuity Suitability and related state Supervision System including: (i) Procedures to inform producers of the Best Interest rules requirements; (ii) Producer training manuals/materials/ and communications; (iii) Product specific promotional materials and agent training; (iv) New business process to assure all applicable forms and suitability review completed prior to issue; (v) Procedures to review recommendations; (vi) Annual reporting to states and senior management.
Advertising Review and Marketing Compliance Support. Assist marketing department with developing agent training, client presentations and advanced markets sales concepts, advertising and website review, and recommendations and approval for regulatory compliance.
Policy Filing Support. Provide assistance to the contracts department when requested. Monitor and communicate changes to policy form and rate filing requirements and procedures in the various states.
Claims Support. Research and respond to claims questions regarding mandated benefits, prompt pay statutes, interest, subrogation, etc.
Market Conduct. Review and evaluation of market conduct issues when requested.
General Regulatory Compliance - Provide legal support and guidance regarding the following: (i) Life Underwriting developments including genetic information, AIDs, Search Engines; (ii) NAIC Lost Policyholder reporting; (iii) Life Claims questions related to prompt pay, interest, child support, rescissions; (iv) Licensing appointment, policies and procedures, controls and producer oversight; (v) Assist with Periodic Reporting.

How we invest in our staff:
We invest in our one-to-one direct staff (RBTs, or Registered Behavior Technicians) by providing them with a 40-hour training prior to taking their test for RBT credentialing. We also provide our RBTs with extensive 1:1 training on individual students as well as a list of competencies to pass prior to being approved to work with each client independently. Similarly, we provide ongoing and consistent supervision in which our BCBAs provide feedback and training on treatment protocols and individualized programming. Per the BACBs recommendation, we evaluate the level of need for BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analysis) oversight for each client, and we stick to our clinical recommendations to ensure programming is implemented to fidelity, meaning the hours our clients receive services are as efficient as possible. Our goal is to help children reach their fullest potential and we know that means our employees must be able reach for theirs as well.

Purpose Statement
The job of Registered Behavior Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional staff and students to effect positive behavioral change in students. Job Summary: Provides a safe space for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) for students who are disciplined due to behavioral issues impeding learning or classroom instruction.
Essential Job Functions
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties:
Provide a place where chronically disruptive students can be safe while they process their disruptive behaviors.
Support intervention by collaborating with student services, staff administration, and parents.
Help students refocus and assist student in de-escalation.
Have positive classroom management and hold students accountable.
Help students learn to own their behavior.
Help students develop a plan for their success in the classroom through mentoring and tutoring.
Monitor students in school suspension.
Facilitate the continuity of student education by communicating with teachers to get the required work and answer questions for students about assignments, mentoring, and tutoring students.
Provide one on one counseling and instruction on conflict resolution.
Help students to identify who they harmed and how to restore the relationship.

Position: Functional Family Therapist I-I Department: Clinical FFT -Gillis Campus Salary: $50,000 - $58,483.73

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Functional Family Therapist I-II applies the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model in their work, including participation in ongoing consultation with FFT LLC and the treatment team. The Functional Family Therapy model is an in-home and evidence based model that allows flexible hours. This position engages clients and families in a manner that demonstrates immediate responsiveness to family needs and maintaining a strength-based relational focus. Works autonomously and utilizes strong management skills while remaining flexible in changing environments. The FFT Therapist I-II utilizes the CSS system to document services and to plan treatment according to the FFT model as well as other systems required, such as Avatar, to manage confidential client information. Assures quality service for clients by addressing core issues within the family that contributed to the reasons for referral. Maintains agency credibility by establishing working relationships with sponsoring, advisory, and related service agencies via positive and timely communication. The FFT Therapist I-II promotes the agency by ensuring an understanding of program services available for clients, publicizing activities and accomplishments and adhering to a professional code of ethics. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by participating in workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks. Maximum caseload of 12 families. This therapist will primary serve the Jackson County Missouri area. QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Master's degree and professional licensure (e.g. LMSW, LCSW, LSCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMFT, etc.). The ideal candidate will be creative, flexible, have a high level of integrity, work well autonomously and have excellent time management skills. Must pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
