The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) serves in a hybrid role that combines direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) service delivery with leadership, training, and administrative support responsibilities. Working under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), classroom teacher or program supervisor, the RBT supports the educational and residential needs of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This position plays a key role across the agency's school and residential programs and contributes to the implementation of evidence-based practices, including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). The RBT also assists with oversight of support staff and ensures compliance with certification standards and programmatic expectations set by supervising BCBAs. ESSENTUAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overview - About the ABA Position:
Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the Behavior Technician or ABA Therapist role provides 1-to-1 Applied Behavioral Analysis services to children diagnosed with Autism (ASD). Therapy sessions usually run 3-4 hours and primarily take place during after school hours in the client's home, Community, and/or at our Center. Our team focuses on assigning cases as locally as possible (usually within 30 minutes) to your home address or regular school/other work location
Travel time pay and mileage reimbursements are available (when applicable).

Therapeutic Mentoring (TM) offers structured, one-to-one, strength-based support services between a therapeutic mentor and a youth for the purpose of addressing daily living, social, and communication needs. The mentor works with a clinical therapist to explore a youth's interests and abilities and creates activities that build various life skills and result in linkages to community activities.
Therapeutic Mentoring services are in person and typically provided to youth in any setting where the youth reside, such as the home (including foster homes and therapeutic foster homes). Community Services Institute (CSI) was one of the first outpatient community mental health clinics to offer home-based therapy to families facing barriers to mental health care. Therapeutic Mentor Expectations:
Work directly with youth and support families to achieve success
Afterschool and weekend hours required
Clearly communicate and consistently meet with family and natural supports
Teach youth conflict resolution, impulse regulation and positive coping skills
Strength-based support for social skills and self-esteem building in the community (Library, YMCA, Volunteer facilities, Parks, etc.)
Weekly consult directly with a master's level clinician to provide strengths-based and trauma-informed interventions
Assess needs and implement collaborative goal-directed lesson plans
Required monthly mandatory staff meetings and weekly clinical supervision with licensed (LICSW/LMHC/LP) supervisors
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associates degree in human service field and 12 months total experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 24 months total experience working with children/adolescents/transition youth
