RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an RBT, you directly impact success and development for our clients and families. You'll have the structure, support, and feedback you need to succeed, while being part of a collaborative and compassionate team.

REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
RBT Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)

Behavior Technician will complete a training program set by the clinical team to prepare the employee to become a Registered Behavior Technician. Once this exam is passed you will have the responsibilities listed below:
· Directly implementing skill acquisition and behavior intervention plans written by a supervising BCBA
· Collecting accurate data for all treatment plans and behavior programs, which is then provided to the BCBA for analysis
· Serves in a direct care role, consulting the BCBA regularly for additional support, training, and supervision

Qualifications
A day in the life:
Conduct 1:1 ABA therapy sessions with early learners and young adults with Autism through teaching sessions in the home or community setting.
Implement behavioral intervention and individualized treatment plans for children between the ages of 2 and 21.
Participate in BCBA trainings, team meetings, client observations and parent training as needed.
Maintain open and direct communication with the BCBA and other RBT team members as needed relating to the delivery of treatment to our pediatric patients.
Receive Supervision from your BCBA at a minimum of 10% of services provided.
Maintain professional boundaries around our child patients and their families as indicated by the BACB.
Enter data and all trials utilized daily for each pediatric patient for all programs targeted.
Remain available for all supervision sessions, phone conferences, and team meetings required by the BCBA.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Description
At Hands of Heartland, we believe that people with developmental disabilities are people first. We at Hands of Heartland will always place the person before the program - striving daily to embody the message our name states.
We are looking for dependable, compassionate Behavior Support Specialists to work with an individual with a developmental disability who has some behavioral challenges in Lincoln, NE. Preferred applicants will have at least two years of related experience, or a degree/certification related to behavioral health.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide services to address the wants and needs of people with developmental disabilities, which may include:
Supporting personal goals
Administering medications
Planning and preparing meals
Assisting with activities of daily living
Transporting to and from day program and community outings
Reinforcing therapies, including speech, behavioral support, and physical therapy
Ensuring all needs are addressed in a respectful manner with dignity and personal choice
Completing and maintaining required documentation on a web-based system
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years or older
Valid driver's license and Current automobile insurance
Must be able to pass all background checks
Two years of related experience or a degree/certification related to behavioral health preferred
Male staff preferred, as that is individual's preference
Ability to be certified in enhanced behavioral intervention
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed
Ability to use verbal and physical intervention to redirect and/or to complete an emergency safety intervention with a person who is physically aggressive or self-abusive
Ability to communicate with other people in-person, by telephone, and in writing
Ability to use verbal and physical intervention to redirect and/or restrain a person who is physically aggressive or self-abusive
Ability to safely provide supervision and monitoring to meet the needs of people supported by Hands of Heartland
Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time to include but not limited to bending, stooping, sitting, and reaching

Shifts and Hours Needed

Flexible scheduling is available as some shift hours may vary depending upon the individual's needs
Compensation and Benefits
Starting pay is $17 per hour
Candidates with prior experience and a valid CNA license are eligible for higher compensation based on qualifications
