In addition, you may transport BHA clients for various charter trips. As a driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of clients. ALL DRIVER JOBS ARE PART TIME SPLIT SHIFT; 20-25 HOURS PER WEEK MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY SPLIT SHIFT - 6:30 AM - 9:00 AM AND 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM Key Responsibilities Follow safety rules as students board and exit van or cross streets near stops Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner Check the condition of a vehicle's equipment to ensure that everything is in working order Maintain order among pupils during trips to ensure safety Pick up and drop off students at regularly scheduled locations, following strict time schedules Requirements Education and Experience High School/GED required. 1-4 years' experience as a driver License Requirements Must have a safe and valid driver's license according to the school regulations. Class E License with S or P endorsement OR CDL License with B or P endorsement required. Training and Specific Skills and Abilities Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to drive when in the field. Must satisfactorily complete all required training. Be able to pass all background checks, which may include physical, drug screening and licensure. Working Conditions The job operates almost solely within a vehicle as either a driver or the driver's aide. This position requires the ability to drive up to 50 miles day or night on all types of roads and in all types of weather. This position is exposed to noise, vibrations, and vehicle fumes. The Van Driver will be trained to engage with individuals with behavioral and developmental disabilities. Physical Requirements The ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, reach, pull, and climb in and out of van. Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties and projects will be assigned as necessary) Clinical Leadership Directly oversee and supervise clinical services within the Community Living division, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery. Collaborate with all necessary internal team members (i.e., Vice President of Residential Services, Executive Director, Registered Nurse, BCBA/LBA, Lead BCBA, BCBA, Behavior Specialist, Provisional Behavior Analyst, RBT). Communicate with the Operations Manager, Program Manager, BCBA, Registered Nurse, and RBT regarding clinical observations, individual-specific concerns, and programming needs. Service Delivery Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized treatment plans for residents, ensuring they are based on comprehensive assessments and best practices in ABA. Regularly review and assess residents' progress, ensuring the team makes data-driven adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all clinical activities, assessments, and treatment plans. Evaluate the platforms used by the division to improve fidelity and efficiencies. Monitor and evaluate clinical performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to enhance service delivery. Ensure effective utilization of resources, including staffing, materials, and technology, to optimize clinical operations. Participate in reviewing and resolving clinical incidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken and lessons are learned to prevent future occurrences. Participate in an on-call rotation to assist with behavioral crisis events. Review and approve clinical documentation and assessments outlined in BHA policies and procedures. Coordinate regularly with the Lead BCBA to ensure consistency in procedures, programming, and teaching principles within Community Living. Review and approve clinical documents prepared by BCaBAs/LaBAs, P-LBAs, and Behavior Specialists as needed. Develop and ensure client engagement activities/classes occur that allow clients to improve their quality of life. Quality Assurance and Compliance Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to improve clinical practices and resident outcomes continuously. Conduct regular audits and evaluations of clinical services to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and monitor clinical performance metrics, using data to drive improvements and ensure accountability. Address and resolve clinical issues, complaints, and incidents promptly and effectively. Stay current with developments in ABA and related regulations, ensuring the division remains compliant and at the forefront of the industry. Ensure compliance with the KCRO due process and review of all documentation and case reviews for all clients. Assist in developing, administering, and coordinating department policies and procedures. Serve on the Intake Committee and review all potential new clients to determine appropriateness. Serve as the point of contact for state and referring agencies related to clinical services, conducting intake observations and following BHA intake policies as deemed appropriate. Collaborate with external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations, to support integrated care and service delivery. Advocate for the needs and rights of residents, ensuring they receive appropriate and individualized care. POSITION SUMMARY The Workforce Coordinator is responsible for managing the scheduling and staffing needs of the Community Living Division, ensuring all shifts in 24/7 Community Living homes are covered efficiently. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with training and certification requirements, tracking employee readiness, and minimizing overtime to support the smooth operation of homes and ensure quality care for residents. This position will ensure a high quality of life for people served by providing staffing relief within the Community Living division. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in scheduling, workforce coordination or administrative roles, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health. Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively. Ability to self-direct without daily supervision, manage calendar, organize tasks with strong skills in delegation, follow-up, and handle several tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to observe, ask questions, listen actively, give and accept feedback effectively and problem-solve quickly/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Scheduling and Staffing · Develop and maintain staff schedules for Community Living homes, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts. · Update and maintain the master schedule, ensuring that it always is accurate with current needs. · Address last-minute call-offs and gaps in the schedule to minimize disruptions by having clear plans for disruption. · Monitor and manage overtime to remain within budget and operational guidelines. · Schedule PRN and substitute/superimposed for assigned sites, utilizing scheduling software. · Ensure coverage provided to homes/programs matches the Master Schedule. · Get to know the home staff and build relationships. · Follow rules for approving overtime, ensuring overtime is managed within targeted goals. · Ensure that the staffing management protocols are followed. · Approve vacations weekly and log in the vacation calendar and tracking system. Update all tracking metrics weekly. Training and Compliance · Track and communicate staff certifications and training, including LIMA (Level I Medication Aide), orientation, new hire and annual training. · Ensure no staff are scheduled without completing the required training and certifications. · Maintain accurate records of training completion and coordinate with training staff to address gaps. Administrative Duties · Maintain scheduling software and databases with up-to-date employee information. · Collaborate with supervisors and management to address staffing challenges and ensure alignment with organizational goals. · Prepare and distribute staffing reports, including overtime analysis and coverage gaps. Communication and Coordination · Participate in person, in new hire orientation, to introduce self and role to new hires. · Help managers troubleshoot coverage solutions when substitute/Superimposed or PRN staff are not available. · Communicate with employees for purposes of coverage, changes in schedules and any other scheduling needs. · Collaborate with supervisors to address staff availability, performance issues, and scheduling conflicts. · Facilitate open communication with team members to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
