Stratos International, Inc. designs, develops, and manufactures optoelectronic, fiber optic, radio frequency and microwave components. The company offers connector solutions which are used in telecom, enterprise, military, and video markets. Its optical products include multi-source agreement compliant transceivers; specialty transceivers; military and harsh environment components and subsystems; video components and subsystems; CWDM components and modules; optical flex circuits and multifiber assemblies; optical and copper expanded beam and physical contact harsh environment connectors; specialty fiber components and assemblies; and optical connectors and cable assemblies. It also offers two copper product lines, Trompeter and Semflex. The Trompeter product line includes RF connectors, patch jacks, installation tools, adaptors, cable, and cable assemblies. The Semflex product line includes flexible microwave frequency bulk cable and cable assemblies; flexible microwave frequency coaxial cable and custom cable assemblies; and custom connectors, adapters, phase trimmers, and other components for special application requirements. It was formerly known as Stratos Lightwave, Inc and changed its name to Stratos International, Inc. in November 2003. The company was incorporated in 2000 and is based in Chicago, Illinois.
