GS-4: Your resume must demonstrate at least six (6) months of general experience and six (6) months of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: non-professional work of a technical or support nature in the field of health and medicine such as, recording height/weight; applying sterile dressings; preparing patients for evaluation and treatment; restocking medical supplies; ensuring that medical equipment is in proper operating condition. Or two (2) years above high school with courses related to the occupation. GS-5: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Taking vital signs; determining what the provider needs to treat the patient; performing catheterizations; providing instructions to patients; assisting the provider in medical treatments; collecting a wide variety of specimens. Or, four (4) year course of study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with courses related to the occupation. GS-6: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: : Independently conducts a complete assessment, using knowledge of topographic anatomy, major body systems, emergency medicine techniques, ability to sufficiently understand the legal considerations of emergency care. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: The candidate must possess an Emergency Medical Technician certificate from a US State. Copy of your certification must be submitted with your application.
