Specialist in Water Damage - Advanced is an expert in the drying and repair of residential buildings, large commercial, industrial and institutional buildings and their contents. They are local, regional and national resources of BELFOR. His competencies include electronics and machinery management, books and documents, as well as specialized drying. Delimit and dimension large losses and specify the systems of drying by heat and desiccant as appropriate. They have practical knowledge of the electrical demand of the drying equipment and the determination of temporary energy needs. They are proficient in the use of plans and floor plans and are familiar with the integration of heating, cooling and ventilation (HVAC) systems to enhance the drying systems. In CAT situations, advanced specialists can lead multiple teams and take on significant production responsibility. This position is level 4, the highest in the progressive route of Water Damage.
Responsibilities
Direct the teams in the use of the right PPE for the job.
Review the daily requirements of projects, document progress and notify managers of progress and challenges encountered.
Provide appropriate field documentation, photographic records, charts and sketches for various TPA projects.
Using the acquired skills, draw sketches, read plans and floor plans, develop humidity content records, complete pyrometric records and determine the drying objectives.
Calculate the load (content) of humidity in a building, calculate the cubic meters of the affected parts of the building and request additional support in projects affected by large water losses.
Determine the electrical consumption of the drying equipment, the connection and operation of a 220/110 converter and the requirements of a temporary power source.
Perform daily inspections of vehicle safety and maintenance and keep these clean and in perfect conditions of use.
Attention to details.
The professional will be obliged to comply with the standards of BELFOR to safeguard the property of other people.
Must have a deep knowledge of customer service, as well as the principles and practices of this.
Ability to work with time constraints to meet specific deadlines.
You will be periodically requested to travel and work at night and during weekends.
You must inform in a timely and accurate manner about the time worked and the equipment and consumables used.
Attend the operations sponsored by BELFOR and the security training courses that are necessary.
Requirements
Supervise and self-perform Water Damage Basic and Intermediate tasks
Perform all tasks related to managing large loss sites or specialized remediation requirements
Create moisture maps using tools and knowledge provided
Supervise multiple crews simultaneously on multiple projects
Select appropriate disposal options and get release of liability for disposed items
Qualifications
Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard
Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard
Carry current IICRC ASD designation
Must demonstrate mastery of BELFOR Water Damage Book
Must demonstrate proper use of appropriate meters and IR camera, understanding of affected vs unaffected building materials and contents.
Demonstrate an understanding of air mover calculation, LGR dehumidification chart; electrical power spec and electrical circuits
Demonstrate mastery in the use of HydroSensor, Thermal Hygrometer, NavPro Moisture Meter or equivalent and the recording of data Demonstrated experience and working understanding and proficiency of a building environment, thermodynamics, psychrometry, "Burping" a building, containment of HVAC supply and/or return air (CAT 3/Mold)

SUMMARY:
Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare labor, equipment, and materials/subcontractor estimates for bid projects applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.
Expected Outcomes include, but are not limited to:
• Estimates are expected to be completed ethically, timely, competitively, and accurately.
• Plans, specifications, and addenda are thoroughly reviewed to ensure that the estimate meets engineered/design requirements.
• Estimates for self-performed work accurately depict production units, crew sizes, heavy equipment and tool usage, and additional requirements set forth in the general and supplemental conditions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reviews proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
• Completes accurate and complete takeoff of scope of work
• Maintains files (electronic data) of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers
• Requests quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Conducts a thorough evaluation of incoming scopes of work and conducts a cost analysis on quotations
• Considers and analyzes risk factors
• Conducts onsite analysis of pre-existing conditions when applicable
• Performs post-bid analysis and participates in bid review meetings with owner or owner's representatives, when required
• Participates in project turnover to Operations team
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Undergraduate Degree or equivalent technical training and/or experience

Construct appropriate containment for construction dust, dirt and airborne contaminant in working area
Construction of Metal Framed Walls, Acoustical Ceilings, Repair and Replace roofing as required
Using appropriate tools and accepted BELFOR methods, perform tasks related to flood cutting, salvaging and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
Develop ability to identify the different types of insulation, their thickness and their respective R-value
Apply learned skills and materials knowledge relative to Trim, Doors, Cabinetry, Insulation, Rough Framing, acoustical Ceilings, Roofing materials, and Exterior Siding to daily tasks
Perform Daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain in clean serviceable condition
Must maintain attention to detail
Will be required to meet BELFOR Standards in safeguarding other people's property
Must have a comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
Will be required to work nights and weekends as requested ands?? travel periodically
Report time worked and equipment and consumables used timely and accurately
Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required
Requirements
Supervision of unskilled labor, Basic and Intermediate Level BELFOR employees, and the occasional sub-contractor in any residential, commercial, multi-family, industrial and institutional setting as well as High Risk/High exposure or complex projects
Answer simple questions about the project and when to defer questions to more qualified personnel
Maintaining equipment used in daily tasks
Perform emergency services as needed - - IE Board Ups, securing building against further damage
Additional other duties as required

ESTIMT - Estimator - Estimator
Belfor Property Restoration job in Maryland
The Estimator position is the second level in our Estimating track, and achieved after completion of BELFOR new hire training tasks. This position will be responsible for creating and managing estimates and job in the residential, commercial, and industrial lines of business. This position will be responsible to meet with clients, develop quality and competitive estimates using Xactimate software, manage work through completion, review budgets and communicate progress with clients and management. Estimators will review invoices and labor timely to ensure costs are included in the job costs monthly. Upon completion of required BELFOR training, qualified candidate will achieve the appropriate level Estimator title and position.
Responsibilities
Must establish and maintain local area clientele in position to refer losses. Clientele is primarily insurance adjusters but may also include community business owners, schools and municipalities.
Create accurate floor plans in Xactimate Sketch
Must have working knowledge of applicable building codes
Create and adhere to acceptable budgets and address overages as they present themselves
Required to use the BELFOR naming convention for estimates, revised estimates, proposals, change orders, etc.
Must demonstrate a knowledge of all local building codes
Maintain a construction schedule and work with trades and management to ensure work is completed on time. Identify and present solutions when additional resources are needed.
Demonstrate proficiency with source removal, decontamination, mitigation, containment, ventilation, contents and deodorization techniques
Proficient with investigative demolition, controlled demolition, decontamination structure cleaning and deodorization services
Participate in continued training with BELFOR University -- Basic Xactimate training as part of preparation for passing Estimator Level , 2, or 3 User Certification test, dependent on Estimator role
* Independently manages own work
* Maintain vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain vehicles in a clean serviceable condition

Requirements
Develop and maintain client book of business dependent on Estimator, Senior Estimator, General Estimator, and Executive General Estimator job requirements
Serve as primary contact with owners, adjusters, and consultants
Scope development, negotiation and agreements with customers
Uses BELFOR standard in formatting estimates
Coordinate after hours emergency services as directed, including board-ups, water damage, fire and smoke damage and vandalism
Consistently identify potential site hazards (asbestos, lead paint, mold, etc.)
Must conduct oneself professionally and with courtesy at all times. Must be proactive conveying information and be immediately responsive to requests for information
Apply industry TPA Program standards and ensure compliance with requirements. Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices

Qualifications
English literacy and fluency
Understanding of MSDS Data sheets, and applicability to jobs
Must use the BELFOR Estimate Format Standards for Xactimate estimates, proposals, etc
Extensive Customer Service experience
Advanced Microsoft offices skills, experience with Xactimate
Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent telephone skills.
Ability to work well with others, maintain professional interaction with co-workers and vendors.
