Belfor Property Restoration job in Troy, MI
Call Center Agents are responsible for the collection of sensitive information required to mobilize field office personnel. Data must be accurately entered into various software systems and will be transmitted electronically to field offices who will mobilize the appropriate personnel. Attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to provide compassionate and supportive responses while dealing with homeowners is a must. The call center is a 24-7-365 operation, so candidates will be assigned to the appropriate shift.
Essential Functions
Independently and professionally respond to incoming emergency calls from customers, referrals from fire or police departments, and Third Party Programs.
Assist customers with concerns and distribute all relevant data to field offices
Maintain a customer database to include detailed data entry into web-based third party
applications
Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles, and practices
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
Attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people's property and information
Responsible for maintaining a professional presence while answering calls
Use discretion as necessary when routing calls or providing information regarding the

This position is responsible to provide support in all areas of complex payroll including but not limited to hours and earnings, statutory and voluntary deductions, garnishments, 401k, termination and final checks, and special projects. Qualified Candidate is also responsible to prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements or company needs and address employees concerns regarding PR issues.
Responsibilities
Consistently meet daily deliverables for employee maintenance updates in ADP and JDE
Review and update all automated entries using established ADP Workflow processes
Maintain audits and controls between ADP/GL and JDE to ensure accurate financial reporting
Appropriate application of payroll entries using accepted accounting standards and BELFOR practice and processes.
Adhere to all BELFOR Policies and DOL regulations when processing payroll hours, earnings and deductions.
Participate in continuing education to expand career and stay up to date on legislation or process changes
Identify areas of concern in system and work with Manager on resolution.
Assist in the development and continuing improvement efforts to establish Belfor USA Group, Inc and the Payroll Department as World Class in the industry.
Comply with company and department policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
Requirements:
Update and reconcile payroll balance sheets on a biweekly basis.
Entry of Employee information including, but not limited to, new hires, terms, rate changes, tax and address changes.
Review of weekly hours submittals from field offices to ensure they adhere to DOL regulations as well as meet corporate financial requirements
Manage Payroll Help Desk and provide timely responses to field office questions or concerns.
Certified payroll billing information as required
Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
Attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people's property and information
Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Two years' experience working with payroll and time recording systems
Excellent time management, problem solving, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills
Ability to proactively support field office staff and interact with all levels of employees.
Ability to successfully handle multiple projects.
Computer skills: Word, Excel and payroll and time recording software.
ADP Etime, ADP WFN and JD Edwards is preferred
Knowledge and understanding of payroll, tax and labor regulations and requirements

Mitigation Technician Reports To: Lead Technician / Project Manager
Type: Full-Time | Field-Based | On-Call Rotation Required
Purpose
Support the Paul Davis Downriver field team in executing water, fire, mold, and storm restoration jobs with professionalism, efficiency, and care. This is a boots-on-the-ground role where your work directly helps families and businesses recover after disaster strikes.
What Youll Do
Show up on time, in uniform, with a professional attitudeevery shift
Follow safety protocols and restoration procedures exactly as trained
Set up drying and cleaning equipment under direction from the Lead Tech or Project Manager
Assist with demolition, debris removal, and detailed cleaning tasks
Take before/after photos and assist with job documentation using company apps (DASH, Docusketch, etc.)
Monitor equipment and take accurate moisture readings
Maintain, clean, and restock trucks and equipment daily
Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, teammates, and other trades on-site
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response

Intermediate Fire Damage Specialist

This position is responsible to provide operational support in remediation efforts for clients. Qualified candidates will be responsible to perform basic level tasks relative to dry and pre-cleaning damage structures using accepted BELFOR Processes and meeting BELFOR standards. Intermediates assist with the development of basic level technicians and they assist advanced technicians on large or complex projects. In order to qualify for this position, you must have 12 months previous BELFOR experience at the Fire Damage Specialist -- Basic Level -- or equitable industry standard experience, as well as direct involvement in 25 (minimum) fire damage projects. This position is the level 3 in the Progressive Fire Damage track.
Responsibilities
Following instruction and working well under supervision
Coordinate a small crew of unskilled laborers and keep them on task and working towards a defined objective
Become familiar with all industry standard odor and smoke removal techniques
Be familiar with and able to perform all industry standard structure cleaning processes
Safely remove debris from affected structure/property without damaging un-affected areas of the property while maintaining a clean and safe jobsite
Aid in the installation and maintenance of the containments
Demonstrate ability to answer simple questions related to the project or defer to more experienced member of the team.
Perform Daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain in clean serviceable condition
Must maintain attention to detail
Will be required to meet BELFOR Standards in safeguarding other people's property
Must have a comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
Will be required to work nights and weekends as requested and travel periodically

Responsibilities
Recognize potential problems with the project and timely request additional guidance and assistance
Answer most questions regarding the project and direct more specific or complicated questions to the appropriate resource
Move and protect contents without damage
Construct appropriate containment for construction dust, dirt and airborne contaminant in working area
Using appropriate tools and accepted BELFOR methods, perform tasks related to floodcutting, salvaging and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
Attend and successfully complete shrink wrap training and complete 4 projects containing shrink wrap
Develop ability to identify the different types of insulation, their thickness and their respective R-value
Apply learned skills and materials knowledge relative to Trim, Doors, Cabinetry, Insulation, Rough Framing, acoustical Ceilings, Roofing materials, and Exterior Siding to daily tasks

Role on the Team (Job Responsibilities):
Ensuring the teams performance of tarping, board up, water mitigation, mold remediation, environmental services and carpet cleaning/re-installation services in accordance to Paul Davis and industry specifications.
Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
Assist other team members when needed and foster a positive working relationship with other departments.
Be a great representative of our brand!
Ensure your crews are ready at all times and every morning to handle the day through a team huddle.
Meet clients and adjusters on site to assist in issue resolution and provide professional opinion.
Re-inspect job sites for quality control.
Issue resolution - be the point of contact for customers if they have any questions and/or concerns and resolve those in effective and timely manner.
Maintain inventory of clean, properly stocked and organized trucks along with all company equipment.
Be accessible by phone and participate, as necessary, in the on-call schedule.

Are you interested in working in a fast-paced environment and helping customers? We are looking for someone friendly and professional with some cleaning or packing/moving experience and willingness to learn.
You'll be performing cleaning of homes and businesses, and helping restore properties after fires and floods. 32-60 hours per week depending on workload. Some evenings/weekend work as needed depending on the project.
