The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for maintenance activities in support of the maintenance and production goals for the Lucky Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• Follow and promote the Lucky Friday Maintenance Work Management Process.
• Work with team members to build and maintain accurate Plans / Work Scopes.
• Develop and implement accurate resource levelled schedules for all maintenance activities.
• Monitor and maintain the maintenance activity and report both Leading and Lagging Maintenance KPI's and cost KPI's. Develop additional reports as required.
• Manage minor capital projects related to maintenance as needed.
• Develop and maintain currency of effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance procedures.
• Work with warehouse personnel on warranty issues and core recovery.
• Monitor the suitability of the parts inventory.
• Maintain component information on all equipment for warranty tracking and other purposes.
• Execute strategies for improving maintenance performance, including training, PM development, and the maintenance and development of computer-based maintenance management systems.
• Assist the Maintenance Foreman with budgeting and forecasting.
• Monitor maintenance costs and identify and explain variances to the budget.
• Work with the Reliability Engineer to identify chronic and impending equipment issues.
• Initiate formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on chronic or high business risk failures.
• Participate in Risk Assessment activities as required.
• Check accuracy and provision of all relevant data flows, including shift reports, requests for materials, timecards, etc.
• Manage all aspects of the IFS Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include the following.
Bachelor's degree in Planning or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification preferred.
Minimum 4 years experience in a maintenance planning role.
Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance.
Experience in an underground mining environment preferred.
Prior experience setting up, using, and maintaining computerized maintenance management systems
(CMMS) required. Experience with IFS preferred.
Must be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.

Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $30-$40 per hour.
Depending on a county and if it is urban or rural you will complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month working 2-30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and technical drawings.
Familiarity with different wood species, grain patterns, and proper cutting techniques.
Experience with grinding, setting up, and maintaining knives for optimal cutting performance.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise others.
Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures and general sawmill safety.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in moulder operation, preferably with Weinig machinery.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
