As a Buyer, you will:
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms

Maintain strong supplier relationships and oversee contract management
Ensure cost-effectiveness and quality in all purchasing activities
Review MRP requirements and inventory on hand balances to ensure material availability. You will also use ERP computer system to manage inventory requirements.

**Position Overview:**
Perform various operations in the decommissioning of facilities and transportation of SNM bearing materials using necessary equipment to perform the task.
**Location:**
Onsite in Erwin, TN.
**Your Day to Day as a HEU Material Handler:**
+ Excavate contaminated soil and waste debris
+ Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, excavators, dump trucks, etc.

A Nuclear Measurement Specialist (NMS) assists with the establishment, execution, and maintenance of nuclear measurement techniques in accordance to existing facility procedures, applicable national standards, and appropriate regulatory requirements. **Summary Description of Job:**
Responsible for developing new and revising existing plant procedures (and LOA's) which support Nuclear Fuel Services operations. In this position, the procedure writer will work with limited supervision to analyze, design and develop work process documents in support of the nuclear operating facilities at NFS. Specific training and/or a writer's guidance document will be followed with respect to site procedure specifications regarding format, order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
**Major Duties and Responsibilities of job:**
+ Responsible for design and development of new and revised plant procedures in support of NFS operations.
+ Responsible to evaluate requests/proposal for changes to procedures, research technical manuals, process flow documents, plant drawings, safety basis documents, customer requirements and site policies to ensure the safe operation of equipment, procedure flow and usability, and adherence to regulatory requirements and writer's guidelines.
+ Interface with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) as necessary during all phases of new or revised procedure development. Expected to use appropriate questioning techniques to gather the information needed to generate procedure documents.

+ Use NFS enterprise software (eB) to process procedure revisions.

**Position Overview:**
Supervise and efficiently manage hourly personnel in assigned areas of responsibility in a safe and compliant manner. Responsible for producing a quality product in a timely and safe manner.

**Your Day to Day as a Supervisor 1:**
+ Studies and understands the applicable requirements, labor contract, procedures, and equipment utilized in the work area.
+ Trains and assigns hourly personnel to work to ensure that safe practices and correct job requirements are performed.
+ Reports equipment malfunctions, procedural deviations, absenteeism, accidents, and/or other unusual occurrences.
+ Prepares minor work orders and coordinates applicable work under major work orders and Radiation Work Permits.
+ Reviews/approves applicable records, runsheets, and/or other documentation in the work area.
+ Completes applicable reports and provides other information as requested.
+ Administers disciplinary action when required and addresses inadequate performance issues promptly.
**Required Qualifications** :
+ One year of college Chemistry or Physics.
+ Two years of college education or in lieu of the 2 years of college education, 4 years of experience in radiation safety may be considered at the discretion of the Safety & Safeguards Director.
+ One year of experience in applied health physics.
+ One to two years experience in a chemical or nuclear facility or one to two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing or military environment.
+ Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
