John A. Citrano is the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Everett Bank. He joined the Bank in June of 2019 and oversees accounting, finance and the operations of the Bank.

John began his career with Belmont Savings Bank in 1987 as an Internal Auditor. He was named Treasurer in 1994, Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer in 2000 and Executive Vice President, Chief Fnancial Officer, Treasurer and Corporate Secretary in 2011. He serves on many of the Bank’s internal committees.

In 2011, John spearheaded a successful initial public offering of common stock that raised $90 million in gross proceeds for BSB Bancorp, Inc., the parent company of Belmont Savings Bank.

2010 - 2018, John was an integral member of the executive team at Belmont Savings Bank that grew assets from $500 million to $3 billion and improved ROA from .36% to .87%.

In 2017, Belmont Savings Bank was awarded the prestigious 2017 Sandler O'Neill Small Cap All Star Award for being a top 10% performer among 400+ small-cap banks and thrifts.

In 2017 and 2018, Belmont Savings Bank was listed in Fortune Magazine's 100 Fasting Growing Companies.

In April of 2019, Belmont Savings Bank was acquired by People's United Bank.

John received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Merrimack College and his Master of Business Administration degree from Bentley University.

John is a member of the Financial Managers Society and Treasurers Club of Boston. John served as a Director of the Watertown/Belmont Chamber of Commerce and as a volunteer for Junior Achievement, a non-profit organization that strives to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in the global economy.
