Part-time Saturday and Sunday 7AM-7PM Compensation - $21.63 an hour Position Summary The Crisis Intervention Specialist will work alongside first responders to provide on-site crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization services for adults and children experiencing or who are at risk for experiencing a behavioral health crisis. These intensive supportive services are time-limited, designed to prevent additional behavioral health crises and mitigate adverse health outcomes. Specialists are expected to work on-scene, conduct mental health assessments, engage in de-escalation, make appropriate referrals, and conduct follow-up services as needed. Schedule appointments for intake and outpatient follow-up care. Provide transportation when needed. Administer groups and training for support staff. Completes all follow-up care and home visits within the required time limits. Reassess safety and provide referrals for behavioral health and other needed services. Performs other duties as requested. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field from a CSWE accredited college or university. Previous experience in crisis response, substance abuse, juvenile justice, advocacy, mental health, or equivalent.
