1996: The Peabody Memphis was inducted into Historic Hotels of America, becoming one of its earliest members.
PHG stripped the existing hotel to bare walls, added additional public spaces and reflagged it as The Peabody Little Rock in 2002.
Because of the extent of required renovations, the Hotel was closed and, following a $19 million renovation, reopened in 2002 as The Hilton Little Rock at Metro Center.
2015: The Peabody Memphis won the Award of Excellence for “Best Historic Hotel (Over 400 Guestrooms)” from Historic Hotels of America.
