Summary:
Responsible for the coordination and technical leadership of electronic hardware strategies and the electrical design and development of customer products.
Responsibilities:
* Designs and documents electronic hardware for customer products and related electronics, with management direction, to meet both the customers' requirements and manufacturing requirements
* Provides assistance to the Mechanical Design, PCB Design, Functional Test and ICT test for product, test and tooling development
* Performs evaluation of quality measurements on electronic designs in accordance with a verification plan
* Creates documentation related to an electronic design project
* Contacts and works with hardware, software and equipment vendors
* Follows project plan; Report project status to leadership
* Assists in the coordination of electronic hardware engineering strategies for customers
* Assists in project proposals and associated cost estimates
* Participates in the development of advanced/new technologies
* Participates in research and development for new design methods and tools
* Assists with Design for Excellence (DFX) reviews and creates necessary documentation
* Develops an understanding of DFX philosophy and promotes with customers

Job Summary
The primary function of the returns specialist is to accurately verify, record and transact all incoming product returns, in an expedient, safe and efficient manner. This includes unloading items from carriers, visual inspection of packaging, transact receipts, unpacking and reboxing, verifying and recording incoming material to support customer returns/RMAs and collaborating with the Customer Care team. This position is responsible for all aspects of RMA receiving for the Technical Service group and includes fostering good working relationships with TSG personnel and the Customer Care department to resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies timely, efficiently and accurately.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
* Work directly with Customer Care team to address and resolve discrepancies with returned product (missing RMA number, incorrect serial number, different model assigned to the RMA or other issues). Holding weekly follow-ups meetings / discussions with key members of that team to work on continuous improvement and further implement lean methodologies into the role and department.
* Unpack, verify and receive RMA's (return for credit, advance replacement, return for service) for the Technical Services Group based on how they are assigned. Dispose of trash and recyclable materials upon unpacking. This requires having a keen attention to detail to ensure returns are received properly according to the type of return.
* Ensure incoming deliveries are accurately transacted into proper location depending on disposition. Proactively reporting damages or other issues to necessary internal teams to have so they can be resolved in a timely manner.
* Unload carrier trucks on a daily basis.
* Regularly back up department with shipping and packout as needed. Cross train in other areas of the warehouse based on the needs of the business. Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

PURPOSE:
Detail simple projects with supervision and provide concise, accurate and complete descriptions of all reinforcing steel, bar supports, mesh wire and related products for fabrication, delivery, installation and invoicing in the most efficient manner possible. Cultivate a customer service relationship while maximizing profits for Nucor Rebar Fabrication.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
• Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication's safety programs and standards.
• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication's vision and values.
• Develop working knowledge of AutoCAD and the basics of Nucor Rebar Fabrication's detailing system (RebarCAD).
• Develop basic knowledge of reinforcing bar industry including reference material (i.e. CRSI and ACI).
• Review and verify date of contract documents (plans, addenda and specs) received and compare against the date on proposal/estimate.
• Detail simple projects with little or no assistance (i.e. simple foundations, walls, footings, piers, slabs, stairs, retaining walls and other products as required).
• Submit placing drawings for approval and make sure they conform to ACI 318, CRSI, or RSIC, the Branch quality assurance and the placer/shop requirements.
• Process change orders to maximize all possible returns for the Branch.
• Maintain all deliveries for fabrication.
• Communicate with customer, placer and Architect/Engineer on all questions relating to project; submit Requests for Information (RFI) as required.
• Work with Detailing Manager to ensure that all specialty items are pre-ordered to maintain construction schedules.
• Under the direction of management, be involved in all construction conflicts/disputes (whether contractor, placer, detailer or shop), and help with a resolution that is a time and cost-effective solution.
• Participate in weekly meetings to discuss safety, innovative ideas, workloads, availability, issues and problems of the week for all to learn and share.
• Compare the progression of project detailed weight against contract weight.
• Identify and develop information required to inform customer of any changes (time and/or material) to the contract, including the completion of the change order form.
• Review all claims of shortages or errors.
• Ensure proper coding of all bar lists.
• Follow one or more projects from estimate through detailing and fabrication to installation at the job site.
• Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
• Vocational certificate (or are currently enrolled) in CAD design/drafting or related degree issued from an accredited school or college
• At least six months experience using AutoCAD and Windows-based software
• Able to read architectural/engineering blueprints
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug test prior to hire

The R&D Technical Lead, Endpoints serves as the engineering lead of the Endpoints products team. QSC is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Engineering Technician who is interested in audio and video to work in our Q-SYS division.
