Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely transport persons served to assigned programs and locations, following procedures and protocols in place related to routes and timeframes. Assist passengers in entering and exiting the vehicle from outside the vehicle making certain all passengers are monitored for safe arrival at their destination. Assure all passengers have properly secured seatbelts and/or are secured in their wheelchairs (if applicable).
Interact with patience and sensitivity in all contact with passengers, family members, staff, and others while ensuring a positive passenger experience for those in your care.
Be familiar with any conditions or behavioral issues that any passenger may have to be able to assist them.
Operate the vehicle and vehicle equipment at all times within all federal, state, and local laws and in a manner that ensures the safety of passengers.
Have working knowledge of routes and locations of all houses, day facilities, and emergency locations and report any issues to management related to route obstructions that impact services.
Assist with vehicle maintenance including but not limited to routine cleaning of exterior and interior of vehicles and weather-specific needs (ie. winter snow removal). Complete safety inspections and obtain yearly vehicle state inspections.
Ensure emergency fact sheets for all passengers, route schedules and written directions are present and report any issues to the dispatcher and/or your supervisor immediately.
Complete the vehicle safety checklist before beginning your assigned route. Ensure signage in rear windows reflects accurate occupancy status at the beginning and end of routes. Complete the attendance and mileage sheet after completion of each route and report any issues to the dispatcher and/or your supervisor immediately. Verify all passengers off the van at the end of each shift.
Immediately notify the dispatcher and/or your supervisor of any variance in route time exceeding 15 minutes.
Complete incident reports, as required, under the Bridgewell Incident Reporting Policy and Procedures.

Responsible for providing safe, courteous transportation service and serve as support staff for the Engage Life Director or Maintenance Director. Coordinates vehicle pre-maintenance, maintenance, and repair to ensure vehicle longevity.
Drive vehicle from community to social and other various destinations according to assigned schedule.
Assist residents into and out of vehicle in a safe manner.
Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories and report and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs.
Establish and monitor daily and weekly trip inspection and preventative maintenance programs, as well as maintain records regarding the maintenance of all vehicles.
Deliver groceries and other belongings to resident's apartments.
Assist the Engage Life Department in activities and programs as needed.
Ensure charges are submitted to the business office daily for community travel expenses.
Maintain a safe driving record according to Company guidelines.
Handle emergency situations and basic First Aid.
Report potentially unsafe conditions to the Executive Director.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five (5) or more years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance programs.
Commercial driver's license required to operate commercial size vehicles.
Able to operate a seven (7) to sixteen (16) passenger bus, unless otherwise required by Atria or state law. Able to operate a limousine or car, tire changing equipment, First Aid Kit, wheelchair lift, and dollies/hand trucks.
Experienced with vehicle emergency repairs, able to change automobile tires and handle minor on-road maintenance.
Knowledgeable of all streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Atria's Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards.

II. Core Competencies

III. Position Responsibilities

* Prioritize work requests based on urgency.

* Report any unsafe or broken equipment immediately to the supervisor.
* Prioritize customer service to ensure residents and families receive high-quality care in a safe, compassionate environment.
* Maintain the confidentiality and security of all facility and patient-related information in accordance with HIPAA.
* Be available for emergency call-ins as required.
* Arrive 30 minutes before a scheduled trip to prepare the vehicle, especially in extreme weather conditions (e.g., snowstorms).
* Record starting and ending mileage and times on a daily sheet.
* Ensure all required vehicle inspections are performed annually.
* Cover all scheduled trips; if unable to do so, notify the Transportation Coordinator or Security Administration.

Most rides being provided at this time are to behavioral health appointments, physical therapy appointments, and blood work.
Requirements:
Perform safe and on time transportation of clients in all types of traffic and climatic conditions.
Operate and drive vehicles in strict accordance with rules of the road.
Requires high level of independent work.
Inspect general operating condition of vehicles daily and report unsafe conditions and any damage according to policy and procedure..
Requires RI Chauffeur license and Hackney license or equivalent from Massachusetts or Connecticut.
Must provide satisfactory BCI, DMV Motor Vehicle Record, and successfully complete drug test, as well as required trainings (i.e. Defensive Driving, CPR, and First Aid).

Thrive Behavioral Health is looking for reliable, personable drivers to help transport riders to medical, dental, and behavioral health clinical appointments. Driving involves following a scheduled route to pick up riders and get them to and from their appointments. Drivers use agency fleet vehicles consisting of 15 passenger, 12 passenger, and mini vans.
Most rides being provided at this time are to behavioral health appointments, physical therapy appointments, and blood work.
Requirements:
Perform safe and on time transportation of clients in all types of traffic and climatic conditions.
Operate and drive vehicles in strict accordance with rules of the road.
Requires high level of independent work.
Inspect general operating condition of vehicles daily and report unsafe conditions and any damage according to policy and procedure..
Requires RI Chauffeur license and Hackney license or equivalent from Massachusetts or Connecticut.
Must provide satisfactory BCI, DMV Motor Vehicle Record, and successfully complete drug test, as well as required trainings (i.e. Defensive Driving, CPR, and First Aid).
